Rumours this morning that Gab Jesus is injured and out for at least a month . If true along with all the other injuries and covid related absences the squad is thread bare .
What a mess !

Pep Reckons we only have 13 players fit for the Leicester game, didn't hear about Jesus though?

That said, premier league Physio is showing the following.....

Sergio return date 31/10
Bernardo Thigh return date 17/10
Ilkay COVID return date 17/10
Cancelo Ankle/foot return date 17/10
Laporte COVID return date 27/09
Zinchenko muscle return date 17/10

Good - that will give Delap a run.

Half of the injury list you can't blame on the physio or Pep. Aguero was already injured before the season started and he picks up at least one injury a season. Ilkay and Laporte both have COVID.

Yous are totally correct. Our injury record over the last few years has been fantastic.

A physio, as far as I’m aware, helps with injury prevention and recovery. He’s spent all season with us so he could have done it picking the remote up from the floor at home - that doesn’t matter.

Pep may have beasted them and he’s gone away with Portugal knackered. Who knows? That’s why I asked the question - it wasn’t a dig at our lord and saviour Pep ffs.

Delap to play twice a week or are we gonna see sterling.

Club will be kicking themselves for not even trying for a striker

Maybe it will kick us into action on a short term deal or a loan as cover? Im never confident with just sergio and jesus as we all know how injury probe sergio is.

Would be good to see stats to determine whether injuries are bad luck versus bad physio skills. The gruelling schedule is the main factor but it’s roughly the same for all PL teams.

We do seem to have significant numbers of injured per season. I wonder if we’re also signing players who are injury prone too

My issue, is compared with our rivals, we seem to have a lot more injuries per season. Aguero has constantly been injured - has that been looked at? I know half the time he plays on it, but someone at the club has hopefully looked at it. Kev is injured a lot. Mendy is a disaster. Scott Hiley was injured a lot.

There have been a few times we see a player struggling and PeP still keeps him on the pitch...minutes later , after a run or tackle , the player breaks down - out for x amount of games.

Thats Baldies fault IMO.

Delap to prove his worth - about fuckign time we had a forward come from the youth team.

There's a question for you Hazy , seeing as your an old cunt (Older than me anyway ) , when was the last time we had a consistent scoring forward from our youth ranks?

Paul Moulden was a goal scorer. David White, seems nuts we have wasted so long of the window when Khaldoon, advises us every window we have the targets identified yet we ponce about mate. Gonna be interesting mate.

Paul Moulden...remember him well.

Seems unreal we have never seen one since from our academy till now.

What a fucking chance this is for Delap.
This month might be a big one for us upfront.

I am really gutted for Jesus, but I can't hide the fact I am really curious about this.

Ffs just bought Jesus for my fantasy team yesterday at a cost of 4 points !! BBC says 3 weeks out so (hopefully) he’ll just miss a couple of games with International break coming up. I would love to see more of Delap starting with Burnley Carabao cup fixture.
