There's shit tonnes of expats in Spain who've been there 20+ years who don't speak Spanish.....

As for how long Otter was here, I thought it was longer

Let's hope we can now sort out the shit in front of him. Underwelmed at the moment - which is a terrible but true statement

9 trophies in 5 years. Team of the Year once. Always up for a scrap against the rags. What a service.

He's not one of Bobby Manc's signings so the trophies haul don't count

Yet another signing I know very little about but I’m really glad we’ve finally got a centre back sorted. Reading up on him and it’s a big bonus that he’s known for his leadership qualities, captaining sides all the way up at Benfica and international level. Picked up some individual honours like young player of the year so must have something about him to stand out from the rest.

Along with bringing in Ake I’m really hoping our defence is going to be stronger this year. Let’s just hope we’ve finally got our defensive signings right after bringing in so many expensive duds.

I do think Pep has a big part to play here to get it right, a settled back four is a must for the league campaign. If he wants to fart about with the defense he can do it in the cup games.

Really like what I have been reading about this lad over the last few days. If half of it is true we have got a player on our hands.
Maybe Txiki has got it right after all 8-)

If he performs that wont matter a jot.
If all the rumors are true, we were supposed to be in for him last summer as1st choice and we baulked at this release clause fee. And by all accounts we have been watching him for 2 years.

Does anyone fancy running a book on how long it will be before he does his ACL?

How do you know that he was fourth choice ? He may have first choice from day 1. We were chasing Fred apparently and did nothing and the rags spewed up lots of dosh for a waster.

IF you really do know he was fourth choice then explain it here. That is what the forum is for.
