Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Pre Match Dirty Leeds v MCFC

Postby City64 » Fri Oct 02, 2020 1:49 pm

Been a while since Leeds UTD were in the PL . As a fan memories of absolute carnage against them both at Elland rd and Maine rd , they did like a scrap bless em ! Proper Yorkshire bell ends
On the football front much improved from pep and city midweek from the utter shambles of last weekend but we missed so many chances and Sterling is frustrating the fuck out of most of us . Word is new record signing Dias is going to make his debut so him and Laporte, Walker and Ake shifted to LB will be an all new defence. Elland road without fans won’t be intimidating so a good fixture to “bed in” expected new defence . Leeds have conceded a lot of goals all ready and I think their style suits us perfectly........... we can’t ever be as bad as last weekend can we ?
Not really here

I had a fucking crap week so hope that City can lift my mood.

My favourite uncle died earlier this week, and as it looks like I probably won't be able to travel to/ attend the funeral due to Covid. I also learnt that my mum most likely has an early form of Alzheimer. And my trip to see my family for the first time since last Christmas (scheduled for early November) looks more and more uncertain due to the oncoming second wave.

So come on CITY! And Covid19, do your best for once!

That's really tough, football seems less important after that.

Talking of unimportant, Lawro predicts a City win 1-2. His 'opponent' in the predictions was our women's team player, Caroline Weir, who went for 1-3.

Lawro predicts the rags will win 2-1, but like any self-respecting City fan, Caroline says they will lose 1-3.

They both say dippers will win.

I think we lost here last time in the league? Right?
We gave them a small hope of saving themselves from the drop.

We won there under Joe Royle. A Paulo Wanchope masterclass. Every clearance to him just stuck.

Sitting in with the Leeds fans was interesting.

Cheers mate! Looks like I might be going to the funeral after all, just not to the memorial afterwards. Talking to my family last night, followed by a long run earlier today and plenty of beers since, and I'm in a better place today. I just have to make sure I can get the time off from work before booking anything.
