He’s actually good at penalties, so that should be reason alone to get him back.

Not for me. Sooner give Delap a go. There is a reason Mario has done fuck all in most of the last decade.

I would have him back, loved him and he had a bit passion unlike the majority we have now.

Ditto. If he returns to England, it'll be at someone like Watford or Cardiff, I reckon, or a bottom-half Prem club with an injury crisis.

Just to put into perspective how important Mario was in our 11/12 title run -
He started 14 matches and scored 13 goals. Pretty good return.
He only had 1 assist that season, but it was probably the most important assist in our history.

So can score pens, and was crucial to us winning a title in a previous decade. Remember when Francis Lee came back?

My ex wife looked good in 2012...

Not so much now!

He did alright in a short stint, was funny, that's all I can say, he might score few goals but at same time cause unrest in dressing room. I'd rather gamble with academy prosoects

I wasn’t using using it as justification to say he should come back. Just pointing out how well he did that season.

Fair enough. I've seen posts online in recent weeks implying he's still a 'rough diamond' and has 'potential' - he's 30! It's a shame to think he'll almost certainly be remembered more as a 'what could have been' than for the brilliance he actually did show.

I still think he’d be worth having on the bench personally. Even if he just played LC games. The problem is if Delap gets injured we’re now fucked.

Mase , he never did what he was told to do with any manager hes ever had - Baldie would self combust.
