being a old city fan, i saw him play many times for city, even when city played donny rovers in the early 70s, i got on the team bus and got his signeture with most of the other players

What a shock, only 74. After a short illness apparently. I used to have stickers of him and Franny Lee on my wardrobe as a child. RIP.

Pretty sure he’s the reason my dad chose City rather than the rags. So I guess if it wasn’t for him it’s likely I wouldn’t be a City fan.

Terrible news. Only 74 as well. Absolutely no age considering how fit he was. One of the greatest players ever to wear our shirt and for many he would be the greatest. RIP our kid
