MotM v Liverpool

Postby Beefymcfc » Sun Feb 07, 2021 6:22 pm

Was looking a slow game and then ‘BOOM’, we picked up the pace and the Dippers legs look gone. Some excellent performances in the 2nd half and even though many will go for a couple, I thought the likes of Rodri, Bernardo and Sterling really showed why Pep trusts them so much.

Anyway, your choice.

MOTM Foden for me. Scored one and involved in two more. Very good in their box.

Foden

But Gundogan second half was superb. As was Bernie. And Sterling had a decent game as well. Stones was class as well.

But as always, the team was the difference, covering for each other and you can see the unity there. Get ready to collect another PL winners medal boys

Have to give it to Phil. Can’t give it to Gundogan after the dreadful penalty miss. Bernardo Rodri and Stones played very well as did Sterling after a poor start. Kudos to Pep,for changing it up. Worked a treat

I'm sure I'm going to be in the minority but I didn't think Foden was that great until Jesus went upfront. Brilliant 4th goal though.

I've gone Stirling with a shout out for Rodri and Zinch.

Although a few came alive in the 2nd half I’ve gone for Bernie. He was everywhere all game and really put a shift in when Liverpool had their bright spell in the first half. I thought his tracking back and putting pressure on none stop led to their legs going, allowing us the opportunities to force there play.

Possibly Sterling's best half of football in a City shirt. Looked like a light bulb moment with his decision making. Zinchenko improved second half and looked comfortable . Foden was just a monster. Nobody is saving that 4th. He is setting the standard for the front three.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

It has to be Phil. Bernie second for his incredible workrate. Can I give a minus vote for Mahrez total absence?

Foden but a few good shifts.

Shout out to Sterling breaking his curse and Rodri did really well too.
Tracking back is overrated.
