View from the Valleys

Despite the silly kick off time, I am expecting this to be a good game. Maybe I am just still chilled from Sunday evening. The Swans are third in the Championship (55 points) and have won the last four out of five games. I guess it depends on what their priorities are, it should be fun. Also, no VAR tomorrow night.

COME ON CITY!!!

Referee: Peter Bankes
Assistant referees: Adam Nunn & Neil Davies
Fourth official: Andre Marriner

Team Selection

Woodman
Naughton Bennett Guehi
Freeman Manning
Arriola Grimes Hourihane
Routledge Morris

And the rest…

What a time to play City, best team in England won the last 10 league games scoring 30 conceding 2…They are superb at the moment will be a huge test for the boys…Be competitive and show what you can do.

Man. C. must be bricking it with the form we are in.

It’s all on the day boys, if we turn up and depending what team COOPER puts out. Man C may take it for granted that they will beat us, bcos of the run of form they r on, who knows.

We beat them in 2019, we can beat them again.

I hope SC rests 5 or 6 players, ready for Saturday. I'm more interested in maintaining our form in the league. The Man City match is a shot at nothing, a good performance is what I'll be looking for, the result is a bonus…Our focus has to be the league.

I think the core of the side will play. Woodman, Connor, Ayew, Grimes etc. I don't see resting players as being the mentality this far out from the end of the season. We've not got injuries and recruited plenty of bodies.

Stating the obvious but this will be a guide to the almost weekly pressure the team would face if we were to rise to the Prem again. Are we ready for it ??

I’d love to be optimistic, but I think we will put a valiant performance and think as per Taff a 3-0 loss.

heart says we will shock the Mancs by attacking them from the off and win against the odds playing the newbies who they would know nothing about etc...head says a close loss but no embarrassment.

We will win on penalties then Citeh will buy one our players again for £20million ... which we can loan back next year when they drop out of their squad. It’s a great plan.

If they play like they are now v Liverpool we should play with 11 Guehi's and hope they will declare at half time

We've got no hope of beating Man City, play the stiffs

If we weren’t in such a good position, I would say yes play our best team and give everything but you can't help but think to protect our key players. Cooper has a big decision to make and i for one will back whatever he does.

Their high pressing against Liverpool put them in all sorts of trouble. Brentford did the same to us and we couldn't find a way out. So I'm not really confident but hopeful.

If they played yesterday's line up, we'd be humped out of sight. Thankfully they won't, or I hope they won't. Chelters dealt pretty well with their B team press.

Last time we played we were done by a shocking set of officials. Our strength was pace which we no longer have, can’t see a repeat performance tbh.

"We beat them in 2019, We can beat them again"?

Must have missed that one on the way to the Cup Final!

Cheers CM

Any old win will do. And a win gives us the outright record of consecutive games won by a top flight club.

Thanks CM, not 100% sure Swansea is in the Valleys though. May be a little dated, but here's the Valleys:

Was going to post that. We're not playing Merthyr Tydfil. Even Cardiff would be a lot nearer.

Not an easy one this. I'd expect a few youngsters starting this one, with plenty of backup on the bench just in case.

i think Steffan, Walker, Mendy, Laporte, Garcia,, Fern and Torres will all play.
Not sure how fit Serg is or where Ake is with regards to coming back. but certainly with Serg training again he might get some minutes.

I think that we will be surprised at just how strong a side Pep puts out.

Apart from the fact that he always outs out a stronger side than people predict - he will want that record (no matter how he plays it down)

I accept these points from John & Patrick :D My only real knowledge of Wales is about Shirley Bassey, and I couldn't work Ms Bassey into the subject line
