PENALTY CHECK! Mike Dean was just asked to halt the game temporarily as Peter Bankes in the VAR booth has a second look at this but Maguire just eased Welbeck off the ball.

21:01

MAN UTD 1-1 BRIGHTON

Sky Sports' Peter Smith:

"Maguire was scrambling back from the corner and that appeared in real time like Maguire put a desperate arm onto Welbeck's shoulder to drag him back and prevent him from getting the ball...

"But replays suggest Maguire didn't get too much on Welbeck ,though, so he may just escape..."

I did not see the match. Is the above Sky commentary BS or was it a penalty?

The arm on the shoulder was a deflection by the reporters. It was the trip , catching Wellbecks leg that caused him to miss the ball and fall over . Certainly mentioned on my stream.

Just routine nailed on corruption using VAR - a clear trip but the cartel looks after its own and the rags must finish in the top 4.

Would’ve been a soft penalty for me, but what I have absolutely no doubt about is that if it was at the other end it would have been given without a moments hesitation

I have always considered that City best reflected Manchester and the Mancunian culture.

Of the two Scouse teams, that reflection of Liverpool always seemed to come from Goodison

In London, each club seemed to reflect a different aspect of London culture but I think West Ham best reflected the working class Londoner.
I woud love it if teither the |Hammers or Toffees could join us this year as the old cartel of Rags, Arse and the other scousers was further broken up at the top of the Prem.
Well done you 'Ammers.

Nice sentiments John and i agree with them here's hoping that one or both can keep going and keep the other red shite out of 4th which will impact their spending and plans for next season

As long as Liverpool don’t get in top 4 I’ll be happy. I like West Ham, but Lingard is an absolute rat.

Lingard is a smarter(?) version of that other fuck-wit Morrison who was chased out of the swamp. Only difference that I can see is Lingard has a better work ethic for west ham

I used to follow Morrison on social media and some of the skills he showed himself doing in training were ridiculous!! Super talented by all accounts, just couldn’t pull him away from a bad lifestyle.

PSG are two up at Bayern.
I think it's a good result for us.
