Well, it will be 3 titles in the last 4 seasons and a gaggle of other cups, to be fair. He makes big howlers though...big ones. Get past Dortmund and we'll forget today. Thing is, how confident are you right now that we will?

I think the players have to take the blame some of the time.

That team should beat Leeds.

Agreed. Most of us were happy with that lineup. Pep made the right calls with the starting 11 and rhey should have had enough t9 beat leeds if Sterling and Jesus would have turned up
Different story if we do not get past Dortmund but i think we will and then this rhread can rise again in between a potential chumps lge semi

To be honest I made a thread because it seems that we don't have one for Baldie to express our concern.

That aside, I think the team today could have won with Leeds, however, we had the wrong setup from start to finish. Zinch have no idea what he played today, Fern as a CB and so on. Don't know if we actually played our 4-3-3.

50/50 for me today. Tactics shit, players shit.

Exactly

Guardiola has faults. Who among managers doesn’t?

But given the success we’ve had under him, it will take a hell of a lot more than a defeat to Leeds in a match before a CL Qtr final where we rested players. In what will ultimately in all likelihood, result in another PL title winning season

Agree with both of you

Only loses though to really, really Big Clubs, with lots and lots of history. rinse + repeat every Derby.

At least today he wasn't molesting Noddy at 90 minutes declaring him a genius.

It was the other love in Pep life Marco Bielsa,he made the Man Pep is today, he is Pep idol. No disgrace in Pep Eyes losing to such a genius.

I think that is it for the Season now.

Looks like the German Rags Bayern might be going out the Champions League before the Semis. So i am not worried about a Lyon Pep style team selection just yet.

Weird pattern to his Brain farts developing for sure.

Like every time we play the Rags, he seems to drop all our best players and play to the Rags strengths. And make them look peak Brazil.

Only after the vomit inducing lecture of what a Big club with lots of history, and how wonderful they are.

Then we had that inexplicable team selection last season against Lyon in the Quatre Finals. The only team in Bayern Munich way last season was us. Yet we finished the game with a bench full of FIFA All stars. Still today i have no real idea what he was thinking.

Then this Marco Biesla Guy seems to make Pep as hard and as moist as Noddy does.

I am sure it is only a coincidence.

If Bayern go out, and not having to play Noddy, and Bielsa again we should be okay.

Only thing he did wrong today was not make subs quick enough and should have got a third on too.

I dislike peps mistakes as much as anyone.
But today he really wanted key players rested for Dortmund. We cant blame him for that as he knows we need a 100% performance in Dortmund Wednesday.
Leeds got lucky. Lucky in relation to the timing of todays game.
Resting players worked against Leicester because we won, today it just didn't work out, and that's the way it goes. There is unavoidable risk involved in making so many changes to any team.

Fairly confident that's its a one off. No need for panic.

I would have preferred him not to make so many changes. But that starting 11 should have comfortably won today.

The reality is that he wont go though, will he.......Baldie will give him what he wants which will be the same as or as near to what KDB earns.

It fucking stinks.

I do think Raza is grating on Pep. You can see the frustration on the sideline. I’ve said it before, Arteta did a lot with Sterling (it’s on the Amazon doc), and Raheem has struggled since he’s left.

He is a problem that needs solving for over 2 years now, but seems like finally now our staff is starting to see how bad he actually is.
I think we made a huge mistake when we sold Sane and kept him.

Pep correctly sent out his second team today. A team that could only convert one shot from 29 and a team that conceded 2 goals from 2 shots.

Don't blame Pep. Today was down to a no show from certain players, particularly Sterling, Jesus and Cancelo.

I do blame Pep here is why -:
Let’s say he got his selection right (which I don’t) his use of subs and game management were incorrect because -:
1) Mendy was an embarrassment to the club, he is useless and offers nothing to the team
2) The sub of Ake to move Fern back to CB was bizarre
3) To leave both Sterling and Jesus on when it was easy to see both were having a mare
The tactics of slowly passing around the Leeds low block should have been changed by any league two coach, not a so called elite coach on the best part of 20 million a year.
Today’s performance by both players and coach are an embarrassment to the club, against a newly promoted club, with ten men for half of the game. QED
