Yes, a pertinent reminder to those teams going for the ESL. Derry had to apply to FIFA to get an ok to play in the Irish league ..... and then had to start
at the bottom league !

They even had to get a letter from that corrupt git Sepp.

I don't know how a club can be in two leagues at the same time ? ( don't include cups like CL, FA ,Carabao etc - they are not leagues).

Derry were thrown out of the IFA ( Northern Ireland) because the Ballymena United coach was attacked and set on fire during a game, that left them with no league to play in, hence the application to the Republic of Ireland league. They had to get dispensation from the IFA before FIFA would ratify the application which has you say Blatter did

Indeed it was an interesting program about the shocking state of things in Derry . I really hope today's Derry is much better for the population than what they had from the pictures and films shown last night.

What's the surprise? Imagine Baldie playing Mendy for the rest of the season with Carl around.

Here is another funny story.
Derry City eventually won the league of Ireland title and therefore qualified for the European cup, they were drawn against Benfica Sven goran Erickson was the manager, it was massive for the City everybody wanted a ticket. About an hour before kick off a bomb was discovered outside the ground, panic ensue, send for Martin Mc Guinness it was suggested, Martin rocks up, gets the bomb ( it was 100lb) and subsequently throws it down a manhole in the nearby cemetery, the match went on without further incident, Benfica won 2-1, Derry fans were happy because they didn’t think they would score, true story that, Mc Guinness went on to become Deputy First Minister.

Things in Derry are nothing like they used to be, although Derry City have had a poor season to date, think Johnny Crossan still gets involved has a fan that is

I see Spuds have put their first team out against Saints, apart from the injured Kane that is.

If Pep can’t outwit Ryan Mason we’re in trouble.

Watching the ladies. Losing 1-2 to Chelsea. Pretty poor decision making after dominating.

Sound familiar

Spuds probably tired from winning the ESL last night by default.
