Email to MCFC - with wording

Postby Dunne's Half-Time Pint » Tue Apr 20, 2021 11:14 am

I don't know if this has already been suggested, but if anyone else is opposed to the ESL, then please email the club and tell them. I know that one voice/email won't change anything, but doing nothing is not an option.

'Dear MCFC

I wanted to register my disappointment at your decision to join the "ESL".

I have been a loyal supporter for more than 25 years. City have given me some incredible moments: I was at Wembley in '99, watched Keegan's side home and away in 01/02, and saw Aguero's goal in 2012. I have been to London for cup semi-finals and finals, seen us lift trophies and be relegated, and travelled to Bolton and Coventry and Sheffield for mid-week Division 1 games. I have seen us play Halifax pre-season, lose to Wigan, beat Barca and thump United.

I have caught taxis, coaches, trams, buses and trains, then missed trains and paid for hotels. I have driven literally thousands of miles. I have never really thought about what it has all cost.

With extreme sadness and regret, then, I must tell you that I will never watch you play in this "competition". Even though you are thinking only about money, I hope you will think about what that costs.

Sincerely,

DHTP'

You just need to calm down a bit mate. This won't have come right out of the blue to those in the right circles. It's most likely posturing for more money and there will end up being some compromise and hopefully less UEFA arrogance.

Not that I agree with it myself but I dont think it's the final position. As John68 pointed out yesterday, we all screamed that the PL and all-seaters would ruin football. In fact it saved it from slow death.

Plus as Mase says, the guy who reads/answers your email, wont have made the decision.

what are the right circles? fans, players, managers were all in the dark....

this is not the pl formation or all seater stadia..... this is a greed driven model change that breaks everything that that makes football great.

i don't deny that football needs to move on but the way this has been handled is beyond disgraceful and we should never forget the contempt with which we have been treated.

Which email to send to?

Regardless of those taming it - we are risking 3 cups, a best ever season- and even if we do win any of them they are tainted. 10 years of PR down the pan.

How are we gonna progress against psg now??

I emailed mancity@mancity.com - I have an enquiry number and a service coordinator will review it.

In case this is not blindingly obvious, I know that my email will not go to Khaldoon or Txiki, and I know that whoever gets it will probably not reply. The point is that if the service coordinator team is asked about the fan's feedback, they might say that it's not good.

It's easy to be glib, but if you oppose this in principle, like me, then telling the club is better than doing nothing.

Why don’t we just protest outside the Stadium?

Fuck Covid restrictions - BLM got away with it .
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

Part of me still feels that they really believe they will not succeed in creating a super league. This whole thing looks like a shot across the bows of UEFA. And its designed to force change and re-distribute the power.

Why don't you offer the club the one you made out of plastercine Mase? Just detach the big tail you gave him and you have a keep sake. The club can pop him next to one of the Otter!
