30000 season tickets. Mine costs £850 but assuming the averag is a lot less, say £500, that's £15,000,000
The cost of a squad player
Or the difference between us landing Haaland or him going to another club.
If we want Haaland or indeed whomever our main target is/are, then £15M isnt going to stop us. It might mean we dont buy a Kayka, or a Roberts, or a new contract for Sterling.
But as a gesture, wow. Having your ticket paid for as a thank you for continued support? Does it get any better?
I've long argued we could easily afford a subsidy for season tickets as we are the least reliant of any big club on matchday income and a saving of even just £100/150 a year would make a huge difference to a lot of fans but as a club we could easily swallow it. Hell, truth be told I reckon a lot of the players and coaching staff would take a small reduction in salary to pay for it if necessary
