Build up for Next Season

Postby PeterParker » Tue May 18, 2021 9:01 am

I am certain on the 30th of May the club will start thinking of the new season ahead. So what can we expect?

Imho, the club needs so solve a few things:

Squad.
If we win the Champions League, the players will reach a level where they won almost everything club related so they will find it hard to go for all trophies for the third time in just 3 years. So I think we need to sell 3-4 of them and bring a few new ones that are hungry for succes.
Priority will be a striker, no doubt, but a player on Fern position is also needed, but I have a feeling he will stay so we will bring someone on the left where hopefully we will sell the lump of shit.

That being said, I don't think the next season will be as good as this one, but I will be buzzing if we manage to retain the title.

thought pep signed a new contract till 2024

but we do need to bring new players in, a forward is a must, we cannot rely on false 9 for games, some1 who can get into areas where gab raz carnt and also be good at heading the ball, and for me, it got to be Harry Kane, for now, he will scores goals for fun with us and I know spurs want stupid money for him but nowadays don't clubs pay a certain amount over the contract
also, need another left-back to get rid of Mendy

Mendy has more trophies in him yet!

I wouldn't discount Messi, one year.

Decent false 9.

Then Cole Palmer is supposed to be the next great hope (??)

If the rumours of Sergio going to Barca are true it would be only to play alongside his room mate, i would have thought?

Maybe, but I wouldn’t have thought it a key factor, more a coincidence

Replacement for Fern should be a bigger priority than a left-back.
Rodri is just fucking useless.

Cite one example of Rodri being useless? I'll wait.

Finding a goal hungry striker *cough* Haaland *cough* would be nice! Also a replacement for Fern is key but who on earth could actually fill those shoes?

Are you telling me you didn't see Atletico v Osasuna?

Seriously though I thought we didn't follow up with Jorginho because of how often he was caught on the ball. Thank God we dodged that bullet and instead got a guy who is constantly caught on the ball.

Is there a rule against Caroline Weir getting a call up?

We're spoiled with Fern, that is the problem.

She would get a place before Garcia or Mendy at the least.

The back pass to a Brighton player that led to a goal last night?

And the way he just fucking stood there dramatically and didn’t try to get back.

The preparations for next season will be virtually all done I’d have hoped. The outcome of the CL may have a bearing on potential signings but I reckon it might not be as much as the media would have you believe. We are clearly the best side in England and in reaching our first final we have shown we are capable of doing well in Europe. The increased revenue and hopefully sponsorship over the next year or so will help but quite possibly that will aid next summers plans.

Rodders v Chelsea is a gamble Kante reads him like a book, last night pass sums him up turns out and passes it in his sleep, problem is every fucker kknows it before he receives the ball. He is an accident waiting to happen and will be targeted by Touchal.

My bruv listened to the game on radio (either 5 live or talks port) the team in studio said that neither the ref or var ref should be allowed near championship games let alone the Premiership.

The club definitely shouldn't let this go, they should pursue this at the very highest level.
