I have been told that often, however none of the idiots that use it can ever give me an explanation of what they mean by it.

City first won the FA Cup in 1903/04.
The Rags first major trophy was in 1907/08 (First division).
Dippers first FA Cup win was in 1964/65 (we had won it 3 times by then).

Football only started in the 1980s and 1990s mate - ask any Bindipper or Munchen supporter .

Not to mention no history of European bans.

Which the cunts never apologised for, by the way.

Goes the same with we have no fans and we buy our success.
With the no fans thing, when I give them the stats that we have the second income of tickets in the Premier League they say that is not true, that the Etihad group buys the unsold tickets.

About the success and ruin football financially, when you show them that our biggest transfer is to date Rodri their argument is: Yeah, but you paid a fortune on the defence.

So, I think we have to let it go and just annoy them with these stats. You can't convince a braindead fan with logic and arguments.
99% of their arguments are older than the Titanic.

It's one of the stupidest things anyone could say. Almost every football club has a history.

What we didn't have was a glory period. We are having one now. Move on.

Absolutely

And I often find that the, usually rag dipper and Arsenal fans who spout this shit, don’t actually even know their own teams history.

I remember going 10 years ago to a pub here with a friend, he insisted because he knew the owner (scouser from Hartlepool) and wanted to go there. We met, in the first two minutes he asked me since when I support City and with a smile on my face I responded: ”since the oil money came”.
We didn't speak afterward ever again, but I found this to be quite annoying as a City fan and I still do, asking since when, hinting that we have plastic fans.
This gets me, I have to admit.

Anytime a muppets asks “how long have you supported City” with that same agenda, I always say “since 2012. Before that I supported Chelsea” and just play up to it. It riles them even more and the smirk turns to an angry face.

Just out of interest, where have you heard that stat?

Only asking as in the Deloitte Football Money report our matchday income is always lower than United, Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Which would be in a large part due to our better ticket prices (which is a good thing).

This is the attendances in the last ”normal season” - we are fifth here: https://www.transfermarkt.com/premier-l ... on_id/2018 - but ahead of the criminals.

And this is the income due to tickets: https://www.statista.com/statistics/566 ... y-revenue/

There was even a better site with all the graphics, but I can't find it for the moment.

Ah ok.

That graph is total revenue btw - so includes tickets, TV rights and commercial sponsorships.

Our income from matchday is not as high as our rivals, but our commercial sponsorships are higher.

It's broken down well here - https://www2.deloitte.com/uk/en/pages/s ... eague.html
