Anyone else notices that whenever we have a big decision in a game either 1) they do not show it again on the screen or 2) they show one camera angle that has be the furthest away from the incident so you can’t see anything.
Take for instance yesterday the penalty shout...shown once from and angle they tried where you couldn’t see it properly.
Then there was the Kev challenge, the guy thrust his shoulder into Kevs face, it should have been a red card yet the only camera they shown it from they tried to hide the force the defender used. To top it off the soft cunt went down holding his face as he knew what he’d done!
If it was the other way around they would have shown them 30 times from every different angle possible

Said as much in the match thread about the penalty claim and the lack of a replay

Yep I noticed that in the penalty claim. Just a quick replay from a far away distance and that was it. The VAR allegedly checked it !!

They did. There was a banner of the telly telling that VAR was looking into that.
There were a total of two replays, both similar to Spuds, nothing to see. I was more annoyed about the theatrical gestures of Lahoz showing him how the ball hit the body, then the arm.

My interpretation of the law is that if you make your body bigger by using your arms and it hits your arms then it's a penalty. This is exactly what James done, wide arms and when the ball hits the chest and goes onto the arm the refs interpretation is that the ball hitting his arm is a result of it hitting his chest first. This is cheating in my book. So is blocking a man off with a shoulder to the face deliberately then going down acting as if you are injured with a head knock to avoid a red card.

The yellow card for Rudiger was not acceptable. He then broke up a city attack because aspic pretended to have hurt his knee - not a head injury . Rudiger faked it and pretended his head was hit .
The ref said chest to arm . Even the one handball replay showed clearly from a distance it was only his arm and not his body as the Ref implied with his theatricals.
The camera failed many times to show fouls against city.
This guy hates Pep for some reason , probably to do with the yellow ribbon thingy.

I agree, but we can't prove anything because we did not see it in any single way to have a clear opinion of it.

I saw this last week too with Bernard going down with a sore finger and the ref stopped play. I am sure the laws of the game only allow the ref to stop play if someone has a head knock. Even then you have thugs going down claiming a head knock when they've just put their shoulder into the face of the opponents playmaker.

it is, only stop the game for a head injury , but every week against City the game gets stopped for other fake injuries not related to a head injury.
Aspic went down like his leg had snapped at the knee. up and running a minute or so later.

Yes for both the penalty and the Kevin incident the replays were minimal and from angles that blocked the view of what happened.
The lack of transparency during the VAR 'investigations' tells you all you need to know.

It’s been going on for ages. If it’s not them showing incidents it’s the commentators reasoning away a terrible decision, bringing in dickheads like Walton who then just state the old bollocks of ‘Not clear and obvious’.
My honest thoughts are that they are manipulating the game to get the results they want, and when I say they I’m talking of the PL on behalf of the brand. It’s hard to sell a product when it’s star teams are shuffling around mid table. Penalty here, free kick there, breaking up play and not really seeing what has actually happened all seems to go in favour of certain clubs, usually in red.

At least with the Premier League VAR you get to see the replays and some reasoning behind the decision, UEFA just tells you the result so you see the one original angle and then told what they say happened.

A couple of different reasoning. PL VAR is internal whereas UEFA streams rely on external broadcasters, ie. in-country. Interesting how there was no real time replay of the Sterling penalty claim, the handball claim or the Rudiger on KDB issue.
Says all I need to know.
