Italy the far better side mate - because of Mancini. England’s squad is better and younger than Italy’s, but Bob has them playing really really well.
The love in for me personally comes from the fact he was like no other City manager in my lifetime. He came in and within the first week told the media he was going to go to OT and pull the banner down. He didn’t pander to the media, he told them to fuck off - he had the fans back 100% and at the end of 11/12 when we were coming back in to it he had the media on strings, taking the piss out of them constantly and they didn’t know how to deal with it.
He told Fergie to shut the fuck up at the side of the pitch. He didn’t have to come to City - he’d just won the Champions League and most cups in Italy. He came, he fell in love, and when he left us he took out a full page ad in the MEN thanking the fans. That’s a top guy.
I was there against Wigan, walking back in the rain and sitting on a coach for 7 hours back. The players that decided to down tools owe us for that day. Fuckin babies! We take the piss out of Chelsea for their players doing the same thing.
He didn’t just bring us a Premier League title, he brought it to us against the rags. The kids that would give me shit in school for being the only City fan. The years of up and downs with Alan Ball and Frank Clarke. They were all forgot that season 11/12. I’m someone that thought they’d never see their club win a trophy but was happy to stick with them. But Bob change all that. Wherever he goes I want to see him win.

So we write off the season after as one of those things? Up there with one of the worst title defences apart from red scouse last year. That was also on Mancini. The title win season will never be beaten, loved him for that but lets not forget what happened after it
salford city wrote:RVP was the reason the red shit won the league. Personally, i have no regrets on us not signing him nor not paying the wages he was taking. Mancini turned the dressing room and we stank the place out the following season. Yes the players were culpable but the buck stops with him. Pellers came in and we win the prem again with largely, the same squad. Like I've said, love him for the league win, but he has the same total as Pellers. Guess i just don't hold Mancini in the same high regard as most on here

Genuine question, when did he win the champions League?

Bobby Manc took on and beat the Evil Empire.
A massive massive achievement.
He broke their stranglehold over us, beat the most powerful and biggest bully football has seen - SAF and the Rag machine.
He got that banner removed, restored our belief and provided the platform for us to progress.
One of our real club heros.

Couldn't agree more, and I was there in the pissing rain v Wigan.

He also left, but always spoke good about us. He came knowing fuckall and left loving the club.
I have mad respect for the fella, but I wouldn't want him back.
