Gave us , and most of the football world , the most exciting last day of the season win ever done by a football team .

Best day of my football supporting life - nothing since has beaten that moment , and we have had some amazing seasons since .

Fuck me, what a bunch. Was anyone there against Wigan in the pissing rain when they had our pants down in an FA cup final.? I missed a couple of games that title winning season and the next when we were mostly shite He will always be the man who took that banner down am not getting the love-in especially at the expense of our national team. I've always been City first but I'm not happy for the cunt this morning

Italy the far better side mate - because of Mancini. England’s squad is better and younger than Italy’s, but Bob has them playing really really well.

The love in for me personally comes from the fact he was like no other City manager in my lifetime. He came in and within the first week told the media he was going to go to OT and pull the banner down. He didn’t pander to the media, he told them to fuck off - he had the fans back 100% and at the end of 11/12 when we were coming back in to it he had the media on strings, taking the piss out of them constantly and they didn’t know how to deal with it.

He told Fergie to shut the fuck up at the side of the pitch. He didn’t have to come to City - he’d just won the Champions League and most cups in Italy. He came, he fell in love, and when he left us he took out a full page ad in the MEN thanking the fans. That’s a top guy.

I was there against Wigan, walking back in the rain and sitting on a coach for 7 hours back. The players that decided to down tools owe us for that day. Fuckin babies! We take the piss out of Chelsea for their players doing the same thing.

He didn’t just bring us a Premier League title, he brought it to us against the rags. The kids that would give me shit in school for being the only City fan. The years of up and downs with Alan Ball and Frank Clarke. They were all forgot that season 11/12. I’m someone that thought they’d never see their club win a trophy but was happy to stick with them. But Bob change all that. Wherever he goes I want to see him win.

So we write off the season after as one of those things? Up there with one of the worst title defences apart from red scouse last year. That was also on Mancini. The title win season will never be beaten, loved him for that but lets not forget what happened after it

Unfortunately he wasn’t backed in the summer after 11/12 and the club failed the buy the players he wanted - like RVP. We ended up with Scott Sinclair.

RVP was the reason the red shit won the league. Personally, i have no regrets on us not signing him nor not paying the wages he was taking. Mancini turned the dressing room and we stank the place out the following season. Yes the players were culpable but the buck stops with him. Pellers came in and we win the prem again with largely, the same squad. Like I've said, love him for the league win, but he has the same total as Pellers. Guess i just don't hold Mancini in the same high regard as most on here

He had to go , there is no argument there .

What is not in dispute is the fact the fans loved him as he understood us fans (more so than baldie ever has or will ) and there is no dispute that he gave us the best footballing
moment of our lives .

That’s why he gets the love in .

Bobby Manc will forever be a Manchester City legend, same as Pellegrini.

He helped build the foundation on what we had here, told a big fuck you to the rag media and to the bent red nose and won it. With Luck, but he won it.
Our title defence was shite because we had a lot of problematic players, that at the end pushed him away, but also because we got robbed in key moments or Nasri pulled up that shit in the derby when the rapist scored.

He also left, but always spoke good about us. He came knowing fuckall and left loving the club.
I have mad respect for the fella, but I wouldn't want him back.

I am biased when it comes to him because I am not English and I am happy he won it and because he gave me my first reason, as a City fan, to give a big up your arse sign to all the rags I know.

What Bobby Manc achieved with us is incredible.

Bobby Manc took on and beat the Evil Empire.
A massive massive achievement.
He broke their stranglehold over us, beat the most powerful and biggest bully football has seen - SAF and the Rag machine.

He got that banner removed, restored our belief and provided the platform for us to progress.

One of our real club heros.

Did he not win it with Inter? Or was that Jose?

Either way, point still stands - he didn’t have to come to a club that had won fuck all for over 30 years when he’d just won trophies with Inter.

Edit: Yep it was Jose.

Mancini-
Inter Milan
Serie A: 2005–06, 2006–07, 2007–08
Coppa Italia: 2004–05, 2005–06
Supercoppa Italiana: 2005, 2006

During his first tenure at Inter, the club won three consecutive Serie A titles, an Inter club record, and an Italian record 17 consecutive league game victories stretching nearly half a season; Mancini became Inter's most successful manager in 30 years.[6][7] Despite his domestic success, many pundits saw the repeated failure to win the coveted Champions League as the main reason for his dismissal in 2008.

It’s perfectly put. At the time we didn’t need a “nice guy” like Pellers. Bob was absolutely the perfect type of manager we needed. Someone that showed Fergus and the media actually we won’t take it lying down and if you want some well give it to you! I think we’d be getting a lot more boots from the media now if Mancini hadn’t put them in their place.

I'd want him back deffo, but there`s virtually no chance of it happening ; he's got the Azzuri job until after the next world cup , and probably beyond, unless they do unexpectedly poorly in that tournament. Even if he was looking for work , I don't know if he'd be that keen coming back with the Spafia in charge.
