Just been looking at our pre-season compared to the other Prem teams.

Many are turning the clock back 30 years and playing local, lower division teams, including us.

If you park the Charity Shield to one side we are only playing one pre-season game against PNE.

Scousers have 2 games lined up but are away in Europe (Austria & Germany)

RAGS have 4 games, 2 against premier teams 2 against Prem teams (Everton & Brentford) 2 championship teams.

Chelsea/Spuds/Gooner having a mini round robin mixed in with a sprinkling of other games.

Other than Scousers, the only others venturing abroad are Scouse 2 & Gooners (USA) & Wolves heading to Spain for one game.

Most teams having between 4 to 6 games compared to our two, it looks like we will be on the back foot again from the off, again this coming season!

Lets just hope that Ferran Torres gets called up by Spain for Tokyo eh!

Ok, another slow start next season so.

That, but also we are three weeks away from our first official game and we bought fuck-all.

I am a bit worried, to be honest.

So 3 games, including the CS.

My guess is we'll fit in another game at some point, and/or play a few behind-closed-doors matches, possibly at the Academy stadium, which would only be announced at very short notice.

Perhaps our owners are looking at adding Barca to the CFG. Fat slug would love that.

Barca will have already played 2 league games, so it isn't for them, either.

I really need some time off from football at the moment. I was hoping to have a bit more of a gap from the Euros until the season started.

I’ve not enjoyed watching football for a few seasons now (since the poisonous 18/19 season) and I was hoping to start missing watching City this summer but I’ve not really. Maybe some exciting signings will change that?

I just feel like unless we get to a final, I’ve lost a bit of the passion I had.

I think this last fuckign year has put many 'things ' that I took for granted into perspective and now that football has become a platform for political messages my desire to watch it has nearly gone.

Depressing to feel this way...but it is what it is.

The political statements, VAR, the way we get fucked over every match and have to play against 12….it’s just not enjoyable anymore.
