I was never his biggest fan, i thought he did well for us at the time but once pep was appointed his days were numbered. I assumed hed end up at everton/villa/leicester level and still have a good career. If things had of panned out the way it should have he would still be englands number one. The standard of goalkeeper at the last two major tournaments for england has been dreadful.
I think the same of Micah but at least he had injuries as an excuse and chose to leave city. I always felt he should have hung around and done a John o shea type job for us and he might have been fine.

He was on a decent wage with us and he presumably didn’t want to decrease his salary too much. Whether that decision has ultimately cost him a playing career in the latter stages of it we will never know. But he was England’s established first choice goalie so there should have been a relatively decent scramble for his signature. And that didn’t happen. So it can reasonably be assumed it was down to either cost of the transfer fee or his salary

Main problem with Micah always ways that he was one of those physical beasts with absolutely terrible technique and ball control. Don't get me wrong, I loved the feller but you could see that he had never really worked on his fundamentals. His upper body control when he took his first touch for example.... I've seen better 12 year olds and I'm not kidding here. Needed two or three touches to control the ball. I personally think he 100% got everything possibly out of the game with his skill level and that is definitely something to be proud of. Top notch physique and great mentality.
