Couldn’t we turn Mendy’s e-ticket off so he got stuck outside the ground?

Someone needs sacking if that cunt remains with us - absolute disgrace.

Was going to watch this down the pub on a tablet with my mate, but a good friend of ours is home from Jersey for the first time since she moved there February 2020!

So haven't watched until now. Who scored?

Great performance.

I think sandler has an opportunity to be our 5th choice centre back similar to garcia. He looks good and if we decide to sell him would be a good signing for any championship team or lower prem team.

I thought mcAtee was excellent he did very well, he outshone palmer but palmer looked lively too.

Sammy odosi looked good too, two goals in two games.

Lots of positivity from it, enjoyable game
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know mendy gets a lot of stick and i slag him off but he is so technically poor. Even including the kids he has the worst technical ability on the pitch. I really don’t know how he has a future. Id be playing zinchenko/cancelo/ake before id get to him.

Agreed Dubciteh thank you

Looks like we have another against Blackpool on Tuesday, so may be more of the the first team might get a run out ahead of the charity shield. I thought Sandler had a good game against PNE, shame he didn't do too well this evening.

Also good to hear Edouzi had another game.

Only hearing good things about the kids and 1st teamers.

Question: how was Mendy? Really not sure how I feel about going into yet another season without an out and out proper fucking leftback. I just feel Mendy doesn't have the body to be that guy, certainly not at the level we need to win UCL/retain PL. Zinchenko cannot do it alone.

As great as a lad zincs is he is not a natural LB abd at the top level it shows. Just a fact. As for Mendy I’m not having the fraud. 50 plus games in five years. He is our Winston Bogard. Rinsing us.

Sorry if i wasnt clear but I thought sandler did well again last night. Hard to judge based on opposition of last two games but he has all the tools to do a job for us. Better than that guy off liverpool phillips who there trying to flog for 15m now. I like sandler, i think he can do a job.

Mendy was Mendy I'm afraid is the answer. Got caught on the break a couple of times when Barnsley did "muster" a threat and did not look arsed at getting back in to position too quickly. Mahrez's goal came from a cross by him but I would say that it was more down to Mahrez's superb technique that he took the goal rather than the quality of the ball in to him. Looks clumsy and has been said before it can't all be about the injuries that he has received - his attitude towards actually producing something positive on the pitch has always flattered to deceive.

McAtee, Knight and Edozie were the stand out players for me last night with decent cameos from Morgan Rogers and Claudio Gomes.
A very enjoyable run out and nice to see the younger lads perform at a decent level.

Baldie was going more bald on the sidelines watching this cunt play - had a right go at him over his positioning (I think )

Funny you say that, I listened to a bit of the commentary and they noted how Mendy was tucking in central like Zinch, Cancelo and Walker often do. Shame he's a fucking donkey. Really sounds like he doesn't have the tactical nouse or close ball control/passing to deal with Peps system. Square peg in a round hole, a peg that seems to have lost almost all the appealing physical attributes that would help him excel at romping down the flanks. That Monaco Mendy is nothing more than a myth at this stage, but if what BiB says is true, he doesn't even have the cross on him.

Can we have Kolarov back? At least he offered something with that Howitzer of a left foot.
