Pep’s Press Conference

Postby Mase » Fri Aug 06, 2021 1:02 pm

What he’s said -

- We’re not interested in Messi at the moment
- We’re looking at Kane but Spurs don’t even want to negotiate. That’s fine, we’ll move on if that’s the case.
- We’ve spent £40m on Grealish - £100m but we’ve had £60m in sales come in.
- Bernardo wants to leave but there are also two others. it has to be right for us though

Who are the 2 rats? Laporte. Jesus?

Laporte is one I believe, wouldn’t be surprised or disappointed oh Jesus was the other

Pep also said grealish “can play as a striker”, which is a bit worrying

Laporte can go, Jesus too. Fund it and sign Mido.
Sorry, wrong year.

Sad to hear he wants to leave. Nothing but best wishes. Laporte and Jesus thanks good luck.

Any chance Sterling is one of the players who wants to leave.
Who will pay the money we want for the players who want to go.
Unless we're going to have the usual fire sale when it comes to selling players.
We should not even think about anything less than 60m for both Bernie and Laporte.

I agree. £60m each for those two and I’d want £40m+ for Jesus.

why on earth would we willingly confirm one of our players wants to leave? might as well put a 'clearance' sign on his back. we are f*cking terrible at selling.

On second thoughts, Peps fondness for telling porkies to the media.
Maybe we're mad after Lionel, and Bernie will sign an extension. Who knows..

The issue we have is most bigger European clubs are skint so our options are very limited in who we can sell any of our players to and I'm not sure we'd sell to a Premier League rival.

I think if Bernardo goes to Atletico it will involve a swap. I’m not sure where Laporte wants to go but Barca and Real are skint.

More from Pep-

Asked to expand on his suggestion that Bernardo and others might want to go, Guardiola replied: “I didn’t say any names, not even Bernardo - someone suggested him.

"So everyone can take a decision - they are players who are going to stay here or start to train. Some cannot because they are isolating for ten days for the rules.”

“Every player knows the situation, how I conduct the team. Some players want to play every three days, all the time,” he said.

“There are no alternatives. When it’s happened - these kind of situations for a short time - and when it happens they have to leave.

“We are open to discussing absolutely everything. There are players who have to accept they cannot stay here if they want to play every game.”

“Some want to be more important. They have to find a solution before August 31. We’ve known each other for a long time.

“If they make a step forward, they can bring it to the club, they have to accept the reality, move forward and put their humanity and service to the benefit of Man City.

“That’s above everyone. That’s the only one to continue to have success in the last years.”

Sounds like he’s pissed off with a couple of attitudes. The wanting to play every game makes me think Sterling and Laporte.

Has to be laporte but we cant even contemplate an exit without a replacement for him.

We will get peanuts for whoever leaves like we always do!

Sterling is 100% one of the players he is talking about.
If he plays Shite like last season then he’s going to warm that bench for a long time .
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"
