Has anybody actually established as fact that they do want to leave?

I rather think that happens when they actually leave.

To be fair, I understand all three. Bernies missus is Portuguese and lives there and COVID must've been a mare for them. Laporte is top centerback and hardly being used at all. It's just not happening here for G-sus as he isn't prolific enough despite great effort.

And there is a World Cup next year. Bernardo and Jesus will be worried about their places in the national teams and Laporte has just broken into the Soanish team and none of them will want to miss out because of lack of game time

Not sure Laporte will go just yet due to the market.
Laporte more likely, next summer or possibly during the winter window - if some club gets the money together - because we aren't going to just sell all 3 to rivals for CL for nowhere near their value.
The fees now will be ridiculously too low and even if we are kinder than most clubs to our players when they want out, we aren't stupid.
Laporte is the one, in particular, I don't see us letting go as easily.
WE KNOW he's the #1 CB target for RM and Barca and wherever he goes will stay for several years as he's not even at his peak.
He is the one I would feel MOST confident about (and I think so do City) about a long career as a top level player. There are more questions about Bernardo and Jesus at this point than Laporte.
He also wants out due to unusual circumstances of Stones' incredible form and his own slight drop, but arguably more key is the partnership/relationship between Dias that even trumped Pep's desire to have a left footed CB on the left!
I have suspected - even if you saw their interactions during games last season - where Laporte appears colder to Dias. I wonder if we became jealous of/competitive with Dias when he was considered our #1 must play defender, frequently praised, and now quickly Dias took that mantle and became more loved by fans and the media, despite his playful interactions on Twitter with our fans "I'm Eric Laporte."
Laporte also offers things that are incredibly rare at his position of such quality whilist left footed.
He's easily £65-70m, if not more and I don't think any club is paying that now.
This also gives us the added benefit of testing Stones and Dias for longer. If for some reason Stones (most likely) drops in form Laporte back in and maybe he stays. Weirder things have happened, but that is least likely, of course.

thread is a tad premature, eh? in any event, i agree that laporte is the one id least want to lose, even if striker is the position where we're most lacking (because let's face it, jesus is not a striker).

We already hear Bernardo has wanted out since last summer and apparently was ready to go to Barca then.
Now we hear he's moving out of his apartment.
Little chance he stays.
Jesus may only go if we bring a striker, but I hear we will go with False 9 again so that means Jesus sold anyway.

Only one I HOPE goes is Laporte. The guy is a loser. Can’t even fight for his place in club or national team. A proper “I demand” attitude.

This for me although no way he is going to farca or Franco's boys any time soon unless we introduce staggered payments but we are not going to do that

That may be bad news for Bernie wanting away. Grealish should be able to cover on the left. Mahrez will be starting on the right can see Sterling starring up top at spurs

Letting Laporte go is madness. We will need him.
He played quite well for Spain at the Euros and is a top CB. If he goes its £70m or he stays.
With Foden and Kev out Bernie should be staying as well.
Jesus can go if we get decent money, but I can't see anyone paying for him.

Any substance in Jesus being one of the three? He’s never indicated he wants to leave or looked unhappy. Quite the opposite. The other two morbid twats I can understand, but not Jesus.

Agree, it's like his name's been pulled out of a hat. Bernie's been wanting out for what seems like forever, and Laport seems to have his nose out of joint not being top dog, but I've never heard Gabby come out with anything negative.
Mind you, out of all of them Jesus would have the most justification with Pep seemingly happy to play the tea lady up front in preference to him.
