This might be good. Barca and Real will struggle to rebuild. Its coming in at the right time.

Could be right - unless they come up with some devious formula for how much you can spend based on your UEFA coefficient from whatever year hurts us (and PSG?) the most! You only have to think back that the original concept of FFP was to stop clubs going into debt and how that was eventually implemented...

Don't have a times subscription so can't read the article.

But what is the 'luxury tax'? So you can break the rules but pay a tax to get around it? That basically just favours the richest clubs anyway but is a means to swell UEFA's coffers even more?

Unless the luxary tax is used to fund grassroots football - then it may even be a good thing?

my thoughts also and i really cannot stand the idea of the super league but the likes of Barca and Real will have no other way of generating enough money to compete with the debt they are currently in.
