The View from the Away End - Finally!

Postby CuteMancs » Sat Aug 21, 2021 7:07 am

Sorry, this is very late this week. It’s a combination of going to the pub straight after work yesterday, and absolutely nothing on their boards. These canaries are definitely not talking. There is nothing of any interest here, but it is all I could get. Right, its 8am, my phone is charged and I am off to The Etihad to make sure I get in for kick off.

COME ON CITY!!!

Referee: Graham Scott
Assistants: Harry Lennard, Simon Long
Fourth official: Peter Bankes
VAR: Jonathan Moss
Assistant VAR: Timothy Wood

Team Selection

Krul
Aarons Hanley Gibson Giannoulis
Gilmour Sorensen Lees-Melou
Sargent Pukki Rashica

And the rest…

Team News: Omobamidele available, Placheta still out with Covid. No other injury concerns. McLean apparently looking sharp. Curious what Farke does this week, going without a DM vs City feels suicidal...but I'd have said the same about the Liverpool game and he still tried that. Nothing coming out of the press conferencse, etc would suggest Sorensen starting though, although I'd like to see it.

Looking forward to the game but I see nothing than us getting arse raped

Pukki isn't fit yet so we're struggling for goals. Our defenders are thin on the ground and not fit yet, so we're struggling to defend.

4-0

Given that it's Citeh away, head should rule heart. Rashica and Sargent know each other's game and both have had a full pre-season. Sargent has also had 2 Bundesliga games. Given the 'free-hit' nature of the match they would also bring an unknown surprise element. I also like Sørensen as the DM in a 3 man midfield, releasing Gilmour and Lees-Melou to be more creative.

I'm afraid this 'heart ruling head' policy simply can't continue...Man City 3 - 0 Norwich

Enjoy the match, mate, and thanks for the thread as always.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Surprised at that if true. Would have thought first away game out would have been a full turn-out from then. Guess its a covid hangover. Leaving for the boozer at 12 phone charged with the tkt and nhs passport downloaded
