So when the players used to warm up before the match at the school across from Maine Road (can’t remember if it was Keegan or royle at the time that didn’t want them warming up on the pitch before the match) I was watching them warm up as a kid and when Granville came near the window I shouted, “Granville you're rubbish!!” He looked up at me and I’ve never felt so bad in my life. The main reason I shouted it was because I loved Tiatto and they were competing against each other.
I still want to apologise to him now!

I remember a similar thing when Nick Summerbee was playing for us. He was having one of his many bad games and the stick he was getting when he put in a bad cross, he looked at the bloke who was shouting at him and I thought he was about to cry.

I sat in B Block at Maine Road near the Directors Box. Nick Summerbee was getting that much stick one week that Mike Summerbee nearly had a fight with one of the loudest culprits

Off topic, but I hate internationals so early in the season, just saying.

He should brought his son up with a work ethic then instead of letting him be such an idle bastard. nicky was without doubt the most workshy player I have ever seen in a City shirt. I was one of the thousands in the.Kippax singing “there’s only one lazy bastard” at him and I 100% stand by that.
I have never liked mike summerbee and I never will.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

My first ever shirt with a name on the back was the red and black umbro one from i think 94 with 16 summerbee on it. No idea why i got that, probably the most expensive you could get too!

If you hate international soccer
Most think you are off your rocker
But the thing to wish
Is to not be Irish
Cause the shite that they play is a shocker

Definitely the 23-year-old Anelka we bought in 2002. He was amazing.
Crazy to think he spent his best years playing for our shit side back then, Bolton and Fenerbahce. His brother and agent was a bigger wally than Kane's is. Actually, maybe not. He got to line his pockets while Nico was carted between teams well beneath his level.

That’s mental - I didn’t realise he was that young when we signed him. He’d been around forever before coming to us. He had a good stint at Chelsea as well after us.

I'd completely forgotten about Nico. Why on earth did he ever sign for us? Was there really nobody else who would have him?

Keegan. Most of the decent players we got signed for us because of Keegan. Liverpool had just had Anelka on loan and instead of signing him perm, they made the mistake of going for Diouf. Which meant Keegan could talk Anelka in to joining us.
