Derby going into administration

Hopefully Shrek will be out of work soon...
Breaking news on the Beeb's website, more to follow apparently.

"The adjudicatory chamber of the Ethics Committee ... has banned Mr Joseph S. Blatter ... for eight years and Mr Michel Platini ... for eight years from all football-related activities (administrative, sports or any other) on a national and international level. The bans come into force immediately." - 21/12/2015

I’ve never really had a problem with Derby until the obvious happened and they signed Rooney. Remember going in the late’70s/early ‘80s, think we lost and there was no real hassle outside the stadium. Unlike when we went to other grounds where coaches were being smashed up.

WRT them going bump, never like to see that and hopefully it will just be a matter of Wiggy standing down for the club continuing to operate.

It goes far far deeper than just Shrek standing down. They are in serious financial peril and could easily drop down a division or two and go the same way as Bolton and Coventry before them, llanguishing in the lower leagues, full of debt and no prospect of doing anything other than to survive

I was being a little facetious, mate. Read a couple of days ago that their last 3 sets of accounts are being re-audited due to amortisation issues and them keeping a residual value for players, which you are not allowed to do. They probably did it to get around the 30 odd million pound loss over 3 years rule which would’ve been breached, in part, by Rooney’s wages.

Bobby Duncan (remember him?) is there too. Wonder where his career's heading now...

Used their player drink driving to sack an older injured player that was a passenger, but kept the one actually drink driving and the other younger passenger. Mick Philpott. They fucked us about with Carson in Jan. The fuss they kicked up about Leeds “spying”. Rooney.

Another 9 point deduction with a further 3 pts suspended
Relegation now a near certainty

I just read that. Sad that they couldn’t do it last season as it cost another team their place in the Championship

Unbelievably Mike Ashley is looking to buy Derby for £50M. Haven't they suffered enough already

Derby have decent history thanks to Brian Clough.

I actually think Shrek has put in a good shift there. Could have sat on his arse at home

Pains me to say it but he has done an amazing job there given the obstacles put in his way.

Used to like going to the old Baseball ground the away end was really steep and dangerous as f#ck. It was always a good laugh there and notts county were always good for banter aswell. Hopefully they'll get a bit of investment.

They cheated so fuck them. None of their fans complained when they were buying all those players.
