I believe in Ferran. Ages ago I watched a training video and the quality of his touch and finishing was brilliant. The movement you see him make in games is good and improving. He’s a first teamer for Spain, he’s on the edge of being a worldy.

I think this is his breakthrough season, I want to see more of him not less of him and then watch him get seduced by Real.

100%.
Get the lad in the team, he still needs a bit more physicality, but he can get there if he's played.

I think Pep should have a 'plan B' formation built around Torres, use him as a more traditional striker, then switch from a false nine formation in the second half (after the half time team talk) just to fuck with the opposition manager's head. We would end up with a few cricket scores.

OP: The original premise of this thread is complete cack. Because a player does not play every minute of every game, they are not wanted? Nah. But you could quite easily get a job with daily mirror or the manchester evening news.

FT is being looked after. He is only 21 and he played all last season, then most of the Euros without a break and then had very little rest this summer. Other players like Stones, Gundogan and Zinchenko are getting their summer holidays in late. Torres is having a little break for his own benefit. Everyone else will at some point before Christmas as well.

City are going to play 50-odd matches this season. We have had nine. There is plenty of time for him, and everyone else, to do the business.

I get that Tokyo, but surely if someone is in form it’s best to play them whilst they’re on a good run? Rather than - they play well but then get benched and by the time they’re back they’ve lost that form?

Thanks to Pep's Barca buddie Enrique, Ferran is out for next 6 weeks - like Sergio last season - injured when we needed him most

That'll be three or four substitute appearances he'll miss

Played in the final injured, I understand the player it’s a final, however we seem to be victims of players deciding on international duty, fuck it.

Ferran Torres has informed Pep Guardiola of his desire to leave Manchester City, with one club identified as his choice of future club, according to an emerging report from Spain.

Barca apparently. It seems Pep was correct when he insinuated they’re dirty when it comes to transfer dealings.
