Melt down in the cartel, I reckon.
Good news that.

Unfortunately it doesn’t matter much. They won’t be able to spend big because the drawbridge is already up.
Anyone know if they were one of the teams that voted for FFP?

Will be interesting to see what players they can sign because clubs will milk them big time.

Any chance they are interesting in Sterling?
We also have this super, super left back, fantastic player, he is taking at the moment some private time away from football after winning so much, but he might be available in January.

That's a bit unfair. Newcastle certainly voted for it, but there were a few apart from us who didn't.
Villa, Swansea, Fulham and Southampton voting against come to mind, and I think Reading abstained.

Serves them right then. Let them get their hopes up.

Newcastle are not welcome at the top table. They had to go to court to get the deal through.
USA owners want a non-competitive setup i.e. everyone gets a share of the pickings implemented through NFL draft type setup. The pots are shared around but the gravy is always there for the owners.
So the Rags and Dipper owners will have to spend to stay relevant (unless they change the rules). They will not do that.
Chelsea and us will spend and so will Newcastle. It will take Newcastle about three years to challenge the top 4.
That leaves only one top four spot for Rags, Dippers, Arsenal or Spurs?
Expect a reaction of some description (while they have the power because it is slipping) - new rules or FFP or Super League.......?

Who was that journalist that went missing during a visit to the Saudi embassy in Turkey (?) Iirc there was cctv of the guy entering the embassy but never leaving?
I bumped into Geordie down the pub a week or so ago, nice fella in his sixties, always told me that he liked us even post money.
Hadn't seen him since before COViD , so I was a little shocked when he said that he had no longer had respect for us over the Super League shit.
I did point out that we were not the main protagonists and first to pull out.
It will be interesting to see his views on his own club next time I see him!

Some of the bollocks that’s being spouted in the media

City have the blueprint, and it definitely wasn’t “sign a load of superstars” at all.

Rags, Arse and spuds all have to be worried.
Suppose they will start on some new 'rules' soon.

And the Dippers?
Aging forward line, +£200M in debt.......
To make matters worse for them they have Jordan Henderson on a long term contract.

Anyone would think we committed mass murder ffs!
The hierarchy made a mistake , mitigating circumstances why they even wanted to join in the first place , and they were the first to pull out and apologize.
Why anyone would hold a grudge I’ll never know

Dirty Arabs, dirty oil money, human rights, bla bla Its all smoke screens for the racists and bigots who are all out of their rat holes now again.
Anyway I don't give a shit who buys or owns any club, if anyone has enough bread, well that's their business. Let them at it.
But it's going to be interesting to see how they do it over the next few years and the off field battles will be the defining factor.
I suspect its going to take them longer than they think.

I didn't read the whole points of the transaction, but what stood out for me was that "the deal breaker" was allowing Bein Sports to broadcast in Saudi Arabia. When they accepted that, the deal went through from the Premier League.
Any decent journo can see the corruption.
