He is starting to look his age, pace let him down a couple of times tonight, he brings very little to the party. Yes he can score but only if the team adapts to what he needs. The team lose more elsewhere.
His ego is another problem. Another public display of annoyance tonight when they went two down. This just had to piss of some of his team mates.
Then the whole PR circus and his media and advertising contacts. If he does not get what he wants (game time), his media contacts will up the ante. OGS cannot control this.
Finally he comes across as a total self obsessed bell end.

Hope I am right.

You are right.

They are a collection of individuals, not a team. And while occasionally they will win games handsomely, over an extended period of time they won’t prevail

Have to make my ”mea culpa” here. I wanted him here,
Mistake or plan, we really gave them a trojan horse in disguise with this saga. I hope we did it on purpose.
Move of the decade if so. Brilliant by the Spafia.

I’m not so sure, didn’t he help them win the Champions League final last night?

The media spin might just work against them in the longer term? Sure it fools the red armies plastic merchandise buying fans but it may cause the affected clubs to ignore glaring weaknesses.
For ex, OGS should be gone but bigging up last night keeps him in place. Liverpool may delay sorting out their defence, etc...

MU beat a mid-table side from a weak Italian league who were missing 4 first choice players with a fifth injured early on whilst conceding two goals.
Livarpool beat Athi with 11 Vs. 10 plus a dodgy penalty decision whilst their defence looked very shaky conceding two.

On the Atletico penalty issue, and with the ref looking totally bamboozled on why he was being asked to overturn his decision, does it seem a little strange that UEFA appoint a German officiating team when a manager of a team is German?

It shows how many day trippers they get for every match. 45k will be genuine Barca fans and the rest is normally made up of tourists that are just in Barca for the week that fancy going to a match.

I’m glad our club and city isn’t like this.

Can somebody send a memo about this to our leader and copy the media too.
