***City v West Ham (A) Carabao Cup| Match Thread***

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Difficult to break down a very organised Hammers team who will surely have the Rag/PSG/Chelsea tactics we’ll in mind, soaking up the pressure and then trying to sucker punch us.

Thought we did well in the middle third but finding it difficult to break them down in the final. Without this seasons star players we miss so much and we are lacking the industry, guile and technique of Silva and Foden. Not sure if the Hammers can keep that organisation up for the full 90 but also not sure if we can get through that defensive bloc in the next 45 without an injection from the likes of those mentioned.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

I think my channel is an African channel with one of the normal Brit commentators. Been really good, just commentating on the moves and no talk of the cost of players, just referring to Grealish and Foden as ‘Super stars’ when they panned to the bench.

Just shows that it is an editorial decision from the UK broadcasters.

It's South African. The adverts are better as well.

That's the same as mine. Supersport from South Africa. Think it's Peter Drury whose sidekick is usually Jim beglin. It's a throwback to the old days when you had one commentator talking about the game rather than nowadays when they feel the need to talk shite to their co-commentator non stop through the game

Really shouldn’t have to. If raz and mahrez actually made some threatening runs and tried to make something happen we would be ok. Watching them cruise through like it’s a practice match is making my blood boil.

Drury and Beglin are the best in the business, if you ask me. A delight to hear them.

That’s why I’m probably liking it, being a NFOC ;-)

All about opinions but I’ve seen both of them making moves with so much to do as West Ham are so deep. Palmer is trying but we are missing that extra player that pulls them apart. Then there’s Kev who, even as a great passer of the ball, is having problems getting through.

This is what happens when you play your current second 11 trying to get them up to speed.
