Wow, what a read OD thanks as I tend to steer clear of MuEN cluck bait shit 99% of time.

I remember us unveiling 4 players in one presser, it was mind blowing especially having learnt how close we were to shutting up shop with Wardle holding us together to the very last.

Some of those names are easier to forget than remember. I was excited about Castillo to no avail

I must admit, I loved that season as it looked like we had an owner who was willing to progress the playing staff and we had a bloke who was the Ron Jeremy of football managers.

Elephants in Manchester, anyone?

Interesting times. Back then we were just City but now we’re this super club who wins so much. How the decisions made have made us what we are.

Me too, still probably my favourite season of all time (at least the first half) despite everything that's happened since.

I liked Sven's women, Faria, Ulrika and Nancy.
Experienced players who Sven could rely on to deliver.
Stylish players who were very easy on the eye.

Was lacking ideas for a wedding gift for a good friend of mine and I got Sven to have a weeding video speech via one of those agencies you find online.

No need to say that it was the best 100 quid I ever spent, he delivered alright, but after I've received the video I remembered his history with women and maybe he wasn't the best idea I had in mind to talk about commitment and things like this.
No less, my friend was over the moon, even his future wife liked it.

To be fair, he needed that to see Isaksson in goal.

We had possibly one of the best kits we’ve ever had as well that year…

Absolutely loved that season.

I was living in London that year and made all the away games down that way. I remember being really confident going to Chelsea away before they knocked 6 past us.

My personal life also had me in Sweden a couple of months of that year as well and everyone wanted to talk Sven and City.

Even the last game of the season was quite amusing.

Apparently he told the squad “thaksins sacked me, go out and lose 10-0 for all I care” - and the lads couldn’t even do that for him!
