Honorary vice pres. I knew the name from the old board. Interesting man though. Fought with the chindits in the war. Just goes to show you never know what achievements people have under their belt when young

He was the guy who championed Big Mal for manager, which led to led to Joe Mercer being sent firstly upstairs, and ultimately out of the club.
Maybe it was well intentioned, but it started all those years in the wilderness.

I think a lot of those decisions back then were well intentioned but they didn't half come home to fuck us up later
