Anyone know why with two vaccines and a booster we suddenly have this explosion in covid cases?

Surely it should have gone by now?

Is it actually working?

Just curious...

Newcastle United's game with Manchester City is still set to go ahead - despite the likely absence of Pep Guardiola.

However, the clubs have announced that the kick off time has now been brought forward by 15 minutes.

Knowing the cunts that run football, they probably only told Newcastle this in the hope they might get a goal or two ahead

Reminds me of that joke years ago when the rags are playing City on the Saturday but have a CL semi following Wednesday
Anyway, rag team have a meeting and it is decided Roy Keane will play City on his own.
The rag team are all in a bar during g the game, Neville says check score on the text (no mobiles then) they check, and rags 1-0 up at ht.
Anyway after a while Keane arrives in bar, Neville says, how did it finish Roy.
Roy says 1-1 Neville says WTF happened
Roy says i was doing well, 1-0 up but got sent off in second half

Pep PCR back negative so fingers crossed no players come down meaning the game can go ahead.

If it does, we've got Martin Atkinson as ref...

I think it’s because 1/ this strain is much more contagious 2/ waning immunity of those already vaccinated 3/ section of society not getting vaccinated.

Interestingly, in Ireland, although this section only accounts for 10% of population they are responsible for 50% of hospital and ICU cases. That’s putting major strain on hospital services and hence the need for societal restrictions.

It’s the vaccinated that are spreading the virus more in the UK, as the rules set by the government make no sense. If you’re not vaccinated and get COVID you’re locked down and so is your household. If you’re vaccinated and get COVID you’re free to spread it around your household and they’re allowed to go out and spread it to the rest of the UK because they don’t have to isolate. Makes zero sense as they can still spread it even though they’re vaccinated!

If the players in the teams that have had covid outbreaks are not fully vaccinated they should forfeit the fixture. Use the squad players they have available. Surely it's better to call off an EDS game and give them a first team game than call off the first team game.

I think they will push the season. If this keeps up I don't know where they will find the time.

Isn't that euro league competition on in June? If so they won't extend the season by much.
