Before I moved back to Manchester my office was in Brentford, so I had to go past the old and the new grounds on a daily basis. I am jealous of all the Blues making the trip for this game, I think its going to be a good evening. The home fans seem like a very decent bunch, and not tainted by life in the premier league. As usual I will take any win tomorrow, but a bump in the goal difference would be a nice (extra) Christmas present.

And the rest…
Well we need this game look a hole in the head. I’d take 0-4 if offered right now…Now who the hell do we play when we need everyone available for Villa.
Our best hope with this, is that they choose to rest some of their better players. Either that, or send someone into Jersey Road tomorrow with a touch of covid and get this game postponed for a couple of months. Whatever best 11 we can put out, sadly we will be seriously outclassed. Get it out the way and on to Villa.
Can we get it called off ??? Please
I guess there might be a rule saying we can't play THREE keepers in goal at the same time
Surely it is the dream of every professional footballer to test their skills against the best in the world. Whichever team TF puts out, I do not think he will need to motivate them. With the crowd behind them, I believe that the players that we have available will put in a performance that will surprise us all. I can't wait.
I’d take 0-4, how sad is that !
If we can keep the deficit below 3 or 4 then that’ll exceed my expectations. Hoping to come away without the embarrassment Leeds must have felt after their 7-0 tonking. Sadly our squad is in bits and I don’t see it going much better than that.
Best side in world football taking on a side with no holding midfielders or wing backs, I think it might get ugly.
Us older supporters retain a masochistic streak but that might not be enough. I've never seen us lose by more than four goals at home but worry that that may change although I think City might ease up a bit and settle for 0-3. We may get a consolation goal in the 93rd minute so 1-3 (Jensen).
I'm almost dreading Weds night. We are so hit with injuries/Covid. I fear it getting close to double figures with the side we are forced to start with.
My prediction - pain.
Blimey! There’s some real pessimism from some of you about this match. I seem to remember there is a smattering of England players spread around the MC team and we all know how crap that team is! I’m going for a solid 3-0 to the Bees, to set us on our winning run into next year.
So much negativity…We are in the same Division and we are at home . Yes we will probably lose but far far far stranger things have happened than us not losing.
Always at our best when underestimated.
No chance of getting anything from this . We will get clobbered.
I think Boris needs to introduce a new restriction between now and Thursday, that Man. City are not allowed to be with 2 metres of a Brentford player at any time, and that there can be no more than 6 Man. City players on the pitch at any one time. These are rules that have already existed in one way or the other during the last few months. Plus, our defence needs to be in complete lockdown!
The players just need to welcome the chance to put their skills against, arguably, the best team in Europe, and enjoy every minute of the game. The crowd need to put aside any negativity, any preconceived ideas about players ability and give their full support to every thing they attempt. If a pass goes astray don’t start moaning, if they miss a tackle or interception give them the support to try again.
