Looks like he is coming in July after all, club have decided pay 1.5M extra to bring before the Argentinean season ends in November.

Pep also confirmed he is solely a City player, not a loanee or CFG cash generator

This guy has played in more high octane games than anyone in our team and is an out and out goal scorer .

He will fit right in.

He's got a 1 in 2.5 record, in one of the top teams in the country in a league of questionable quality. It's a very big step up from there, and it's hard to see he'll see anything more than cameo appearances for as long as Haaland stays fit.

I'm yet to see anything that tells me we wouldn't be in the shit if both Sterling and Jesus leave

He's got a 1 in 1.5 over the last 2 seasons. I was watching his goals on Youtube at the weekend and 1 on 1 he's brilliant whereas when Sterling is through i don't even get excited as I'm sure he's going to blow it which invariably he does.

He missed from 2ft there near the end of the season. Absolute joke

It will be very strange watching City this season, if Haaland and Alvarez are as clinical as expected.
It would make City scoring 10 goals in a match probable as opposed to possible.
Imagine watching City actually putting away chances, not missing one on ones, converting penalties.....

It will be a surreal experience.

You never know finishing problem may turn to a creating chances problem if we sell the whole midfield...

I like that video.
My worry with him is settling in. When Aguero came we had Tevez and Zaba, then Demichelis and Otter. We’ve just had two South Americans leave this summer.

Ed is still here but he’s in with the Benfica boys. Kayky? We could have done with a Fern type mentor.

He'll be fine, apparently Aguero has been advising him.

Yeah I read that. he even got a Kun shirt as well...!
I got a good feeling about Alvarez - what with all the Haaland media attention, this one has slipped relatively under the radar and he's just turned up ready to play... I reckon he will set the league on fire - with his and erlings goals we are going to be unstoppable....
just need a left back.... :)
I wish there was a way to know you are in the good old days....before you've actually left them...

I haven't seen a lot of him, other than those U-tube clips of him scoring. With Sterling gone and no replacement for him incoming, interesting to see if Alvarez plays out wide in some games.

I think he will start out wide. He did say he was happy anywhere across the top in an interview thar I read. Cannot see Pep going two up top. Am looking forward to see the kid as has been pointed out, Haaland will get all the media flack but this kid may turn out to be a diamond. The red shit across the road were in for him which will make it sweeter

Seemingly, Alvarez is the top young striker in South America.
It will be really exciting to see him play alongside Haaland.

You think we will go 3 at the back with the two lads upfront? Possible, but Pep loves the 433.
I would like to see them in a front 2 for some games.
