James McAtee believes there is much more to come in terms of his development at Manchester City in the wake of signing his new contract extension.

James McAtee pens new deal
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder put pen to paper on a new three-year deal today that will extend his stay at the Club through to 2026.

One of the most highly regarded players to have emerged from our Academy over the past few years, McAtee made his senior City debut in September of last year in our 6-1 Carabao Cup win at home to Wycombe.

Indeed it is great news, with the likes of Kayky and Alvarez added to the academy boys, the next phase is looking so positive.

If we offered Mendy an extension of course he’d jump at it. That was my comment - not the players we’d want to extent but the players that would agree to extend.

Love him to bits, but he is mental. He will get tired of football at some point.

tbh id be fine if none of the 2023 class chooses to extend. i like gundo and mahrez but we have cover for both.

Based on his last performance he had better buck the fuck up ,

Josh Wilson-Esbrand has signed a new contract until 2027 as well. I think this lad is a very good player with a future at the club. Happy days.

Oscar Bobb I don't know much about.but he is tied down til 2026 as well.
