We went to the City Store at Maine Road back in the day and we parked next to Jeff Whitley. He was just sat there in his car.

I think I've heard the most hilarious description about him from a local football that played in Austria while he was there.
He said: It was ok when I played against him while I was at Tirol. He scored three goals in Salzburg and three goals in Tirol, but the rest of those two games I didn't have any problems marking him

Wow. Haaland not nominated for POTM award  The bitterness is strong!

Someone called Jacob Ramsey, someone called Philip Billing, Kevin De Bruyne, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, Alex Iwobi and Marcus Rashford

No more than I'd expect. Villa player who had a decent game against us and Billing obviously for his part in Bournmouth's scintillating start to the season. By his standards, Kev hasn't been particularly outstanding this month, and they're all wanking over spuds and arse. And of course, Sir Lionel Rashford finally had a decent game.
Sad bunch of bastards.

Can't believe Haaland isn't nominated but Kev not being outstanding has 8 assists in 10 games. Next highest is Foden with 3.

As I said, by his standards.
He's always pretty outstanding.

Spot on- he made some poor passes against Wolves but still ended up with 2 assists.

Must be some sort of in-joke at the FA

Laughable otherwise

There's some strong contenders in there though. One of them helped his team to a nil nil draw.

Lol snap , Heard something on talkshite the other day. Don’t know the names But each had to pick a player that they believed has had the best start to the season the only criteria was they could not pick Earling Haaland . The reason given is because they all would have picked him , but it came across to me that they just wanted to bring the red tops into relevance .

Imagine he played for rags!
It'd be wall to wall 24 hour fawning.

Exactly.
He scores goals but he does not contribute anything else. Easy to see why Nunez is a more expensive player.

Just look at how 3 goals have suddenly made Gashford a certainty for the World Cup. Despite bring utter dogshit for 18 months

2 in 2 in the PL in September, which is what the PL POTM is (supposed to be) judged on.

It's a pretty pointless award this month, if you look at the nominees and the amount of playing time they've had:

Ramsey - played 157 minutes of football
Billing - 180 mins (but subbed off in extra time in both games)
De Bruyne - 162 mins
Højbjerg - 180 mins
Iwobi - 180 mins
Rashford - 167 mins (subbed off in both games)

So, of the 6 nominees, only 2 have played 2 full games, while one hasn't even completed a full 90-minute match!
