Seeing everyone seems wary about starting one in case they jinx it, I'll stick my head above the parapet.

I'm going for a nervy 2-0, a reasonably early goal, then a succession of missed chances till we put it to bed late on.

Craig Pawson is the ref, anyone know how we get on with him?

This will only be his 4th match in 3 seasons (2nd this season).

18/20 5-0 over Norwich Cancello Yellow
20/21 1-1 murdering scouse, Walker Laporte Sterling yellows
21/22 1-0 over Chelsea 2 cards for them

Seems to get a lot of rags and murderers games and uefa cup or whatever its called now but not chumps league that I noticed.

Two left footers in Ake and Laporte. Stones deemed not fit for 90 presumably. Gundogan preferred to Bernardo who played both international matches. Mahrez in reserve.

Think Burnley will set up 4-5-1 defend deep hoof long ball up to Weghorst, Ake not bad dealing with high ball, anyway come on City

That lineup just screams that all our focus is on the CL.

Did anybody look up Burnley’s record against us, it’s abysmal!

They haven’t yet beat a Pep team, only taking a single draw from 14 games. I thought I’d go back further and they’ve only beat us 4 times since I was born, some 32 games in total, and 3 of them were in the first 2 years of that period.

Watch us go and fuck it up!

Ake and Sterling starting. Mahrez and Bernardo on the bench

Bernie played 2 full games for Portugal and Mahrez played 120 minutes midweek. Understandable why they are not starting.
