The View from Etihad South

Postby CuteMancs » Fri Apr 15, 2022 2:17 pm

The scousers have locked the pre match thread today so just a few words to add to last weekend’s comments. Obviously want to batter them tomorrow, but the PL would be my priority. Not that we can’t do both, I just do not know what state of the team is after Wednesday, I cannot imagine there isn’t going to be some kind of knock-on effect. It would be glorious to beat the murderers on live TV though.

COME ON CITY!!!

Referee: Michael Oliver
Assistant Referees: Stuart Burt and Simon Bennett
Fourth Official: Kevin Friend
Reserve Assistant: Marc Perry
VAR: Darren England
AVAR: Lee Betts

Team Selection

Allison
Trent
Robertson
Konate
Van Dijk

Henderson
Thiago
Keita

Diaz
Mane
Salah

And the rest…

We're due a win against these lot, hopefully De Bruyne + Walker are both out, would be a massive bonus.

Both sides have had really great draws up to this point. Now we know how Man City have felt for the past few years! This one almost feels like a final as both ourselves and Man City are a level above everyone else and would go into the actual final as favourites.

Strongest team please Jurgen. Forget about United, their shit.

Lets fucking kill those c*nts!!

De Bruyne + Walker out officially is the news breaking on Twitter? From RMC Sport? Would be amazing if true, De Bruyne ran the show last week, I'd make us favs to go through if he’s missing.

Not these plastics again…Sort out our high line and just beat the pricks.

This will be our best chance in a while against them. Brutal match in Spain, a couple of injuries, we rested half the team... it's now or never.

Walker being out is a massive blow for them - him and Rodri are the two they don’t have cover for. Walker doesn’t play much football for them but he’s a sensational cover defender he so quick, without him it’s harder for them to play as high up the pitch and easier for us to turn them round.

I wonder if Pep might chuck some kids in this weekend and sack the FA Cup off. It’s clear he doesn’t have the depth to cope with 3 competitions and he might just decide this one is worth giving up to help go for the other two comps.

Also we're playing the Lance Armstrong of football, they may be cheats but they got the players to beat us not like we're playing a shit team here.

This is our best chance of beating them this season.

“Walker doesn’t play much football for them..”

Absolutely simple.

The only reason i would go anywhere near their forums would be something like Klipperty contracting some wierdly fatal tooth disease.

Above and beyond, CM. A thorough shower is well deserved after going there.

Hope you are feeling better.

even more true post the semi final that before.
Despite their celebrations, they will know that in both the other City v Dippers games, though they got the draws, City outplayed them both times.
At Wembley, they played a makeshift City side. We had more quality on the bench than they had on the pitch. and even after an easy 1st half, they succumbed to our weakened side in the 2nd. Their analysts will be fully aware and so will Klipperty that City handed them a poisened chalice.

Prematch, they were rested and City were injured and knackered. An FA Cup final would have only added to the strain of a Prem run in and hard forthcoming games in the CL. Did we really need an FA Cup final to be chucked in the middle. I don't think so.

Now we are rested, our injured had time to heal and the semi loss has lightened our load to concentrate on the battles for the top 3 trophies.
For the dippers, it means they have an increased load and the knowledge we are battle ready.
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT
