Can’t see this being true. There were no add ons reported at the time of the transfer which usually happens. So is Micah now saying it was £85M or maybe even lower if there are other clauses? Improbable.

But I can’t see it making a difference. Villa will want to win as all teams do against us. We are the reigning champions and have been the best side over the last decade in the PL overall and we have dominated over the last 5 years. We have set new benchmarks of performance that teams naturally want to dethrone. The link with Slippy is purely media led.

We have own own link in the lad Grealish himself. What he wouldn’t give to parade the trophy against his old club?

Slippy will be all guns blazing Sunday.
If we're 5 - 0 up with 5 to go, I might just stop worrying then, only might.

You wouldn’t bet against cult members making it up, would you?

If true, it is hilarious.

Thing is, slippy might have all guns blazing, but most of Villa players won’t give a flying fuck, they will have played Thursday v Burnley and, if our glorious leader is right about player fatigue, they will be fucked and wanting to get on the beach.
I don’t buy this Villa will be all fired up for this because the boss is a dipper, they are where they are in the league for a reason. We win on Sunday and the dippers can go fuck themselves

i agree (most of) the villa players wont give a toss, but slippy will play for 0-0 and put 10 behind the ball, which doesnt require much running. god forbid we play sterling and/or miss a hatful of chances, it's going to be a long, long 90 minutes.

He'll certainly try to put every player behind the ball, that's for sure.

I'm just not too sure changing the team's approach for one game will work out too well and from what I've seen of them, they haven't been doing that regularly?

I can see it being true, it's the sort of clause that fills these transfer negotiations. Against that 15m is not a huge amount to a PL club these days and Micah does talk a load of crap most of the time.

Also seems to me Slippy never has much control over what happens in his football career, either way

£15m covers most of what they’re about to pay for Coutinho (I believe he was £17m).

Up to them if they want it or not.

Now, now, pal. I understand from the media he is the next big thing in management.

Can’t imagine City paying a £15 M clause for something we were likely to win with or without Grealish.

All my players will need to be ready, as I will be very surprised if my team is the same for each of those games.”

Didn’t Wolves get fined when Mick McCarthy was manager, for fielding an under strength team?
