Pep signed Bravo.

And Mendy

Pep isn’t immune to the odd clanger. He’s only human like the rest of us.

Phillips for anything more than £35m would be silly. Completely understand they’re worried about the English quota but he’s not the answer. And when it doesn’t work out the “City ruin English players” narrative will play out again.

If they’re desperate for an English player just give West Ham £100m for Rice. We’ve set the bar with Grealish.

Very much agree with this sentiment

Though I'd prefer Bellingham over Rice

We all know if we sign Phillips it will be for more than 35 million.
Rice is not worth 100m.

Me too. Just think Dortmund would be hell to negotiate with this summer.

Rice is not worth 100m.

If Phillips is worth over 35 mill in todays market then Rice is definitely worth 100.
Rodri had a great season but Rice is an upgrade in my opinion.

You think Rice would come as back up to Rodri? I think he'd want guarantees of being first choice wherever he ends up. Can see the rags paying that for him.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

Rodri will be pushed further forward eventually and take over Gundo’s role imo. Rodri isn’t a natural DM.

Do we need homegrown players? I thought I read we are fine. We have enough, off hand we have Walker, Stones, Ake, Foden, Grealish, Sterling, Carson. So 7 in a squad of 23 meaning only 16 non homegrown and you are allowed 17 so i think we are fine. Suppose if Sterling goes it might change.

I’d rather pay £50m for that Gallagher than Phillips. Neither is worth it though.

not sold on phillips ... but i dont think it's a bad idea to have different options during a long, clusterfuck of a season. I think that it signals someone from our midfield leaving though, unfortunately.

The worry is he lacks pace and his performance last night provided evidence that might be a genuine concern. I think you'll find he's being lined up as a replacement for Fern, certainly not for Gundo or Bernardo who have both said they'll be with us for next season at least.

That's how I see it too. Maybe that we have an eye to the future and the move of Rodri further up

Could be another ploy to get the rags to splurge some more cash to "beat us" to one of our "targets".

I have a Leeds mate who said Philips was much better under Bielsa. But he also said as soon as he got picked for England he seemed to think he’d made it and took his foot off the gas. Maybe Pep can get him back on track?
