To Burnley, perm, 350k and 400k addons with a future transfer percentage.

Firstly, peanuts

Secondly looks like vinnie sees something.

Third, thought he was our right bsck future?

Annoyed the back 4 never got a chance after that league cup game, esp the left back, given where we were.

I don’t know why we didn’t sell Foden at that age and just whack a buy back clause in.

You think they are comparable? I think not.

I don’t know if they’re comparable because despite being captain and playing well for the EDS and first team when given a chance, we barely saw Egan Riley.

Not sure what it is with Pep and fullbacks.

Yan Couto may be the better bet to step up. Had rave reviews at Braga and has been compared to Cancelo after making 42 appearances. Issa Kaboré attracting interest from Forest. He was at Troyes and played 32. Both look like they are further along in their development.

Hate the phrase 'given a chance '

There are obviously reasons for these things which we know FA about.

It is what it is

So many youngsters won't feature in City's future plans on the basis of very fine margins. When I watched the EDS regularly I thought Seko Fofana stood out but they let him go to Corsica for a bag of chips. (now being tipped to sign for PSG btw ;) )

Do you think if Foden wasn’t a genuine City fan he’d still be at City now? He’d have done what Sancho did and he’d be off. If the kids play in a cup competition and they impress then, like you agreed at the end of last season when we had no fullbacks fit and Fern was put at RB, some of the kids need to be “given a chance”.

No idea if he is good enough but he did ok when he played.

However that is abs peanuts, you see 13 year olds been signed for that amount. Makes no sense, dippers will get 10m for neco williams and we give him away.
Why not loan him and see if he can be next seasons djed spence/neco williams worst case he isnt and we still get peanuts for him next year.
Honestly this fee makes no sense and even from vinnys pov hes signed a right back when he already has roberts and lowton there(assuming bardsley is released), it was the one position he didnt need. Unless hes going to play him centrally…anyway the fee fucking shite! Dippers would get 10m for him no probs.

I agree with this.
If the deal does not make sense, then there is stuff going on that we are not privy to.
Best of luck to the lad.

350k. You wouldn't buy a pure breed Golden Retriver for that!
Well done Vinny.

He's a centre half who played at right back in the 1st team against Wycombe, and in a dead rubber CL game then got 3 minutes in his natural position when we were 5 up against Newcastle .
He's 20 in a few months. He's rated on Transfer Market at 700k and his contract was up in a year.
Good luck to him and I hope it works out well for him and Vinnie but I doubt we'll be left with egg on our face for this one.

Foden is and he seems to have made it. So your point is that every youngster should stay forever and they are all good enough, just need "a chance ".

Sorry mate, absolute nonsense, you need to trust the people who bring the trophies
