pep’s contract

Any news on an extension?

Every player we’ve signed this summer has said one of the reasons they’ve come is to work under Pep. I wonder if they’ve had assurances he’s extending?

Disappointed to be going into a new season with it hanging over our heads again. No doubt he’ll be linked with every club under the sun around November/December time, unfortunately we’ve not got Fern with us to hold a meeting this time.

Social media makes grown people behave in very strage ways, and a lack of education and manners does not help.

The worst. Sounds cockney. Although moss side lads now have southern accents, go figure.

"In the middle of the season or the end of the season we will talk again. If they want it I would like to stay longer but at the same time I have to be sure.
Sometimes when you force it it's not good, you have to relax, this will happen naturally.”

Middle or end of season?! Prepare for a rocky ride this season..

If they want it I would like to stay longer

I somewhat believe him. Even if he is mostly talking bollox.
On the other hand, where he can go except have a break?

I think he’s saying that if we win the CL he’ll be done then. He’ll only know that at the end of the season but the uncertainty doesn’t help.

He's a bit shit when it comes to knock out tournaments. I think he wants to out rank fergie and he'll stay till that's accepted. Proper narcissist.

His strength is in consistency, head to head other top managers outperform him as they usually lack the consistency but have the ability to adapt that he lacks.

Not sure about being a bit shit at knockout tournaments.

Aside from Zidane, he has the greatest win percentage in the history of the European Cup.

Not sure how many caraboa cups we've won under him?

Won the fa cup once and reached semis on a couple of occasions.

No, I'm not getting that one at all...

That is total bollix imo.

>> head to head other top managers outperform him as they usually lack the consistency but have the ability to adapt that he lacks

He has won 4 PLs.
He goes head to head against all the other top managers in the PL.
If they outperformed him he would not be winning PLs. He could not be consistent.
In the top 6 mini league last season City were top with 20 points.

He is adaptable.
He tried to get Kane and dispite that adapted the team to win the PL again without a cf.
As for game management, the substitutions made against Villa won the game..........

>> He's a bit shit when it comes to knock out tournaments.

The CL you cannot make a judgement because it is a corrupt tournament.
Yes he has made mistakes (Chelsea being the biggest one, Monaco another) but he has also been shafted several times.
For ex, both Liverpool games, both Spurs games.
Even in the RM second leg. Casemiro did not get a yellow early on, that would have changed the perspective of the game.
Athletic were allowed kick us to pieces, against Liverpool in the group matches they had a player sent of in each leg for a lot less. And so on.....

What about 4 league cups, one fa cup..............

Total bollix.

I think what he meant by “Head to head” is the “knockout tournaments”.

You can’t deny a lot of the time Pep beats himself with his overthinking when it comes to a “big” one off game.

Can't agree mase

Chelsea was all on pep. I would never dispute it. And to a certain degree Lyon, although any team we sent out should have beaten them

Monaco first leg - wow. Such blatant corruption will rarely be seen again.

Same v Liverpool and actually countless others. It's mind blowing that we got past athletico after that shambles in Madrid. It completely knocked the stuffing out of us.

Does anyone want to talk about cassimero?
