There May Be Trouble Ahead

Sorry friends, that Bernardo interview today got to me. Plain as day he wants out ASAP despite knowing the anxiety of our fans. Ake could have easily joined Zinch, Gabby & Raz plus Gundo is in his last year clearly looking for a new billet. Laporte seems to think he's doing us a favour by being here at all and Stones & Foden are training with the EDS in another continent.
Could be they know Pep is on his way too? Going back to save his beloved Barca?
Hope I'm wrong but right now it seems our precious City ship is heading straight for the rocks with the Spafia crew ready to jump pretty soon.

I don't agree, except for Foden.
The player's who want out are not getting enough game time but they are good enough to get it elsewhere. It is also WC year. The only exception to that is Bern. He wants to go to Barca having done the business here. That is understandable.
None of that indicates to me that the ship is sinking. The opposite because we are so good excellent players cannot get a game.
Foden has not signed a new contract yet. That has been dragging on for two years now. He has two years left on his contract. Something is wrong here.

Fair enough, really hope you are right - successful clubs all have excellent players who struggle for game time and this year with 5 subs I think our whole squad would be guaranteed plenty of minutes - be interesting to see how it pans out. As far as Bernie is concerned he said only a week ago he was happy for now but he'd like to go back to play in Portugal in a couple of years, now this interview - not many PL transfers in that direction I suppose.

Terrible terrible terrible, we got rid off Razza and Jesus and replaced them with Haaland and Alvarez. Bernie won't go this window but can see him going next one and Bellingham coming in. Zinch is not good enough to play in our midfield as first choice and he's too good to be a sub, we can't force players to stay if they don't want to be here unless you're good as Bernie. Foden will sign a new contract and one or two of the academy players will step up this season. Our first team is still the best in prem.

Jesus was wank. 8 goals last season and four were on a plate against Watford in the same game.
We’ve somehow reimagined him to be prime Aguero because the media have told us he is.

Razza got rid of us - he felt unloved - bit like Foden

What’s Bernie said? If he goes I’ll be in mourning for the next three years.
