Has grealiah ever turned the tide for us in a match ?

He played one decent ball into haaland against noddys 11 and everyone’s saying he has a great understanding with haaland ffs!!!!

Sorry - Grealish has a lot to prove and up to now I’ve seen fuckall different from last season after his last 3 games .

Spot on he needs to focus on football and not this Twitter and celebrity nonsense, also we need to play to Haaland strengths, many times we missed an opportunity to play him in, KDB being a culprit here, that said think we will get it right, we usually do

mahrez and greralish will be the death of Haaland. They can not deliver the final ball consistently as they are always looking to shoot

I invite you to video yourself jumping to defend with your hands behind your back. Please share the video. Coaches up and down the land need to coach strikers to boot the ball at defender's hands. It's the new normal. Fucking bullshit. Defenders...I can't advise you. You cannot defend in a normal physical position. Sorry.

Good video of the City goal. Alvarez not only scores but wins the ball back at the start of the move.

years ago , it was handball if it was deliberate.

The rags perfected the trick of flicking the ball up onto the defenders hand/arm - Giggs especially. Webb loved awarding penalties for them. It has now become Farcical. It was never a penalty yesterday . VAR refs wanted it , the ref on the pitch left it alone.

So pleased for the lad. The impact of Foden and Alvarez was immediate . Not winning yesterday is not important. By the time we meet scouse in the league the City engine will be purring along nicely .

There is clearly a continuing issue with two right footed players on the left, Grealish needs someone to go on the outside but has to do the same himself more often - tho' he's not really a natural wide player. Must step up now - Jack's not alone by any means and getting a decent left back would help everybody.

Good point. I think he’ll be a lot better if we get this Brighton lad.

Couldn’t agree more. Maybe generous add ons linked to appearances can do the trick. They save face and we get the player who clearly has his head with us.

Watched the highlights and Haaland made some brilliant runs but we were more bothered about passing sideways. A big worry is that we’ve bought him but won’t utilise his strengths.

Yep
It’s as if we’ve forgotten how to play with a striker as a focal point. Even KDB wasn’t anticipating some of the runs Haaland made. But our boys are decent footballers with an eye for a pass so a bit of time on the training ground and they will some be on each other’s wavelengths.

Just hope we don’t drop too many points before we click

I think that’s true. Ake dithers on the ball too much. Stones is pretty good at bringing it out as well, but Laporte is probably our best defender actually on the ball.

Ake is an average defender who has no idea how to head the ball to a team player - I watched him every time he was on the ball and just about every time he headed it (he normally gets beat to every header ) it went to an opposing player , he’s fucking shit .

I’d rather we had sold him to Chelsea when we could have done as we def missed a trick there .

We have also had the whole fucking summer to sign a LB , just like the year before and the year before that and every fucking year since the sack of shit mendy was found out we have needed a LB .

It’s a fucking disgrace we have not addressed this side of the pitch by now and if Pep really thinks we can plug that gap with cancelo then he needs to give himself a good slap !!!just because cancelo has one good game out of 10 in that position (and I’m being kind ) does not mean we “will be fine “ till further notice .

Right now I’d pay 50 million on the Cookie Monster from Brighton !l

Agree with this, ridiculous that we haven’t sorted the LB position, Salah had a field day against Cancelo again imperative we sign the lad from Brighton ASAP
