I’m not massively worried as we lost to Leicester this time last year and still smashed the Prem. But fuckin hell I hate losing to these twats.

Agreed

Haaland shouldn’t be too hard on himself. He’s just coming back from injury and has played 40 mins for us before today.

Cancelo and Ake just standing ball watching for their third, that at any level is not good enough. I said it several times last season, Cancelo is a liability, he has a couple of unbelievable games a season where everything goes right for him, but the rest of the time he’s garbage. I’m not worried in the slightest by todays result, winning of course is more pleasurable. I will be keeping a very close eye on him, everyone seems to think he’s a great player HE IS NOT !!!!!!

Exactly.

The focus on his face sitting there afterwards...

Someone's getting it.

Nice to see many of us are panicking (I don't just mean this forum, I've been on FB too)

Haaland will come good but it won't be instant.

Looks like he desperately wants to do well for us, I'm sure he will.

Alvarez on the right, Foden on the left and Haaland in middle.
Haaland made some amazing runs but no one picked him up, the likes of Kevin and Mahrez just dithered with the ball passing it sideways or slowing play. Think it's down to match fitness and understanding, once they all click, watch the goals flow

I agree with you over Cancelo. We usually get away with him at left back because we don't do much defending in a lot of games but against anyone decent he gets found out. He is yet another midfielder parading as a full back. Just wish we'd stop fucking about and sign one or give Wilson-Esbrand a run.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

Foden needs to start over Grealish in that position-
Has grealiah ever turned the tide for us in a match ?

He played one decent ball into haaland against noddys 11 and everyone’s saying he has a great understanding with haaland ffs!!!!

Sorry - Grealish has a lot to prove and up to now I’ve seen fuckall different from last season after his last 3 games .

On paper we have an easy start to the season.
We need it badly.
We are in transition and it showed today.
Hopefully we will be fit and gel better by the time the tough games come round.
The danger is we drop points while we try figure it out.

Based on today we are winning fuck all this season.

Got to agree with that. To me he looks out of his depth and scared shitless of making a mistake, and just ends up playing safe most of the time.
Also we really need to get LB covered, I'm probably Cancello's biggest fan but at LB he's wasted and also ineffective.

Thought the worst player on the pitch for us was Rodri. Looked slow and cumbersome, kept running into trouble.. I thought he might have put Phillips on. Cancelo was our biggest threat going forward.
We played a mixture of experience and kids against Leicester last season and got beat. I wasn't overly concerned then and I'm not now. I don't count it as a trophy win or lose. Important stuff starts next week.

I just stand back in disbelief when Cancelo is played at LB. I just cannot see anything other than a train wreck. Going forward, he's very interesting. Full back my big fat hairy arse.

If we sign Torres, it'll be disastrous. He's utter shite. Grade 1.

I think we'll win the league, for balance.

Usually when Pep is in his final year we start the season shite. He needs to either sign up and be open and tell us he’s off and we can get someone in to shadow him.

The uncertainty is terrible for the players.
