There seems to be a dearth of decent left backs around at the moment and we definitely need one after yesterday. I don't know why we're arguing over £10m with Brighton. Just get Cucurella in. What's to say Wolves won't stick a £50m price tag on Ait-Nouri?
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

Saturday night tweet from Ian Cheeseman:
'Will Cucurella make a difference once his transfer to #ManCity is confirmed?'

Cheesy is a no nowt, who once worked for City, Radio Manchester but is now at the Tameside Reporter/Tameside Radio!
Think this tells you everything. I presume he's tweeting this to stay relevant!

A bit harsh. He must be still liked by ex-players as he’s had people like Rösler on his YouTube channel.

very disrespectful - Ian is a much loved and utterly dedicated City journo and Vlogger with great access to City sources - he was quoting another tweet which has since been deleted along with the account. No retractions or modifications made over the weekend so it stands as a reliable indication that the Cucurella deal has been done. Tameside is the home of my ancestors btw, prime blue territory.

‘Harsh’ is the word that came immediately to my mind too. Lost his position at RM for being too ‘pro-City’, so can hardly be faulted for that. As you say, Mase, well connected with former players spanning the past 50 years or so. Having said that, he doesn’t always get things right: think he predicted Messi was a nailed-on signing for us a few years ago.

He gets things right more often than not though.
Wasn't he the journalist who broke the story about our CL ban being overturned.

Think so: almost mentioned that but wasn’t 100% certain.

Correct; he did call the CAS verdict and (to be specific) was partially right, but I won't split hairs!
I think his contacts have been reduced since then, but if we sign Cucurella I'll bow to his info.
Just saying he has slid down the media ladder as his current employer proves.
