Thank you to those who have a made a donation towards Pete’s birthday day. It’s much appreciated to help cover the costs.

I’ve received over 50 cards so far in the post for him which I will give him on his birthday.

Here’s the the day planned as he was telling me he never does anything and would normally spend it alone as has no family.

Cards & gifts.
Personal video message from Erling Haaland to Pete.
First Class train to Manchester on Friday.
Stadium Tour.
New home Shirt from souvenir shop - Pete 77 on back.
Two night hotel stay.
Palace on Saturday.

I’m happy to cover this but as mentioned if anyone would like to make a small donation to help with costs it would be much appreciated
and help contribute to a great day for him.

He used to stand near us in the Kippax. We always used to have a chat. He had time for everyone. Good lad is Pete.

PART 3

A huge thank you to everyone who has sent contributions for Pete’s birthday treat on Friday 26th August, also to everyone who posted birthday cards.

I have enough contributions now to help ensure the day is extra special for Pete and really appreciate the support.

I’ve spoken to Pete tonight who was simply overwhelmed with everyone’s kindness which will mean the world to him and I will make sure he gets a special day to which I look forward to sharing it with everyone.

Pete sits at the bottom of 121 , I see him every home game as he passes me at the top of 121 or in the concourse on a big match . His “attire “ is strange but he lives for city and is a lovely knowledgeable chap and always has time for city fans . Really humble man who lives in sheltered accommodation, I hope he has a great day to remember forever.

Big thank you to Manchester City who have invited Pete and us to watch the Crystal Palace match in the tunnel club as their guests following Pete’s birthday day treats. He’s never been before and the first question he asked was “Can I wear my colours” !!

Sounds like one of the good guys - and shares a birthday with my dad (or would do, if he was still around). Nice of City to get involved too.
