It’s getting harder to do this because every comment is about one player. I do love the fear the away fans have before kick off! As has been previously said, any win will do, but we have seen 11 goals in the last week at home, so another four or five would be nice.

COME ON CITY!!!

Referee: Andy Madley
Assistants: Derek Eaton, Steve Meredith
Fourth official: Robert Jones
VAR: Lee Mason
Assistant VAR: Adam Nunn

Team Selection

Bazunu
KWP DCC Salisu Lyanco ABK Larios
Livramento JWP AMN Perraud

And the rest…

Who else is buzzing for this one?

Haaland is a one-trick pony. Easy 3 points

Bazunu to keep his first clean sheet of the season is guaranteed

I'll be happy if we only lose 9-0

On a positive note in recent seasons we have somehow tended to do well against them. Would've won there last season if it wasn't for an awful VAR decision. Having said that I cant see anything other than at least a 4-0 loss and a Haaland hattrick

Eleven players behind the ball at all times. Don't even bother trying to get over the halfway line.

We'll be lucky to get out of our box, never mind see the half bloody way line...!

Maybe we could try and get the rule inforced they do in kids football where once a team goes 4-0 down they’re allowed to bring on an extra player and keep doing that for every additional goal.

Genuinely might be double figures if we play the way we have been. It would be typical Ralph though to pull a score draw out of his arse here.

What’s the point.

Haaland has scored three consecutive PL home hat tricks. A new record. He’s about to extend it to four. Surely Ralph won’t survive three 9-0s….Will he?

Having watched today's on Sky if R H sets up the defence we may even go down 19-0!

I suspect City will regard this as a game not worth expending much effort on and will settle for a 2-0 or 3-0 win at half pace rather than going all out for the thrashing

City won’t even need to get out of gear 1 to do us over by 4 or 5 anyway.

Haaland has now scored more goals for City than we've scored in the league since we beat Norwich in February.

Best football I have ever seen, to be fair.

If you think thats bad, in his last 3 games he's scored more goals 9 that our entire team has (8) for the entire season.

I will be pleased if it’s only 9-0 at half time.

We will do better than some people think this weekend but that's partly because we will be so defensive. 3-1 City.

Haaland subbed off at half time…He’ll be well rested.

Ffs obviously keeping him fit for Saturday.

He could be on fucking crutches and still score against us.

So Haaland is on 900,000 per week. I appreciate he is a generational talent but football is sick and broken. I’m not sure what you do as a club in this environment to stand a chance against the super clubs.

One player is on almost half our annual wage bill.. I think broken is a fair adjective.

Has there ever been 3 hat tricks in one match?

It's not that long ago we were pretty bad but I'd never hear those sorts of defeatist moans before a game. How can you support a team and not hope for the best - we didn't manage to beat them last season in two goes after all.

Cheers as usual CM

Genuinely had a chortle at the first comment and I think the second isn’t too far off the mark

As usual, just win and hand over the pressure to Arsenal

Beat me to it. £600k+ a week still seems like too much for what we’d pay. But maybe we decided to go outside our normal bandings for this mutant.

How accurate is that Forbes list?
Is it salary plus external commercial earnings?

When Salah signed his new contract anything I read said he doubled his salary to approx £20M annually. Nothing close to the £47M Forbes are quoting.
IMO there is no way FSG would pay him £47M a year.

I suspect those include all win bonuses and landmark bonuses e.g. get 35 goals win the league, win everything basically

Cheers CM,

This one surprised me somewhat!!!!!!

Haaland has now scored more goals for City than we've scored in the league since we beat Norwich in February.

I know we've taken the piss out of the rags for Erling scoring more than their entire team so far this season but that stat is shocking, since February!!
