It’s really bare bones for this one. These comments are taken from three different threads, with no actual match day thread. I’m curious how these games play out as we get closer to the break. I would be happy with getting a good lead in the first 45 and then a boring second half. Just get three points, that’s all.

COME ON CITY!!!

Referee: Darren England
Assistants: Dan Robathan, Nick Greenhalgh
Fourth official: Robert Jones
VAR: Stuart Attwell
Assistant VAR: Neil Davies

Team Selection

Leno
Tete…Diop…Ream…Robinson
Reed…Palhina
Periera
Wilson…Willian
Mitro

And the rest…

Agree with the team selection. Based upon the so called experts there is no point in us showing up tomorrow. I really hope that we prove them wrong.

Man City are very very good but worth remembering that they aren’t unbeatable. They lost twice at home last year so whilst I’m not predicting an away win it’s most definitely not an impossible task.

I'd give Mitro a break. Let him rest up for the United game. Have Vinicius throw himself about for 90 minutes when it's probably a tall order for us to get anything from it.

If the City players are trying to avoid injury I’d bring on Duffy, Mbabu & Chalobah if we’re trailing to make it interesting.

No need to rotate. Two games left until the World Cup. Full team out.

The players have had a week to rest since last game. They have 8 days until next game. There is zero reason to rotate anything at all. Zero. And that is even before taking into account that it is bad form to give up before a ball has been kicked. Hardly a winning mentality, is it?

Haaland's game is unraveling.... He will find it harder to score. Hopefully our defenders and defensive mids have been watching hours of his videos during downtime.

Mitro is also one yellow card away from a suspension so I wouldn't be upset if he was rested against Man City so he can come in all guns blazing against United

I think every game has the potential for a result. Including against the top teams. If FFC had a defeatist attitude, they would have just rolled over the first game of the season v a heavily favored opponent. Or rolled over v Spurs in a one goal loss. City will obviously be a huge challenge, but I really feel we can get results v teams like United and Chelsea. Just don't write off these games before they're even played, that's all I'm sayin'

Unravelling eh?

Cheers CM

Relatively positive comments in the main and the guy who posts about two games to the world cup is spot on

Given this weekend fixtures feature Chelsea v Arsenal and Spuds v dippers and at least 2 sides will drop points, this has the potential to be a good weekend for us, providing of course we win today. So any old win will do in what will be a more challenging game than a lot of folk are giving credence to

Seems like a few fans every week want their players to injure ours. Weird, never heard that during the 90s when United were dominant
